The Department of Justice has called on the Supreme Court to reject an appeal by Ghislaine Maxwell to overturn her conviction. Maxwell was convicted in 2021 over her links to Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier who died by suicide in jail in August 2019, weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking charges.
