The liberty movement must help elect Senator Ted Cruz the next President of the United States. Many of us in the liberty movement saw the handwriting on the wall some time ago, as far as the Rand Paul campaign was concerned. He came in a distant fifth in Iowa, a state many thought he would win a year ago. His polling looked bleak in the other early states, and he was short on resources. He likely could have gone on, but instead, suspended his campaign Wednesday morning. He'll focus on securing re-election to the Senate, which he should easily accomplish....

A top terror expert says ISIS is now so weak that it could be decimated within hours. According to a London Express report Monday evening, Russian airstrikes, unruly leadership and numerous defections have destabilized the terror organization to the point that it wouldn’t be capable of fighting off even a small attack. Terror analyst Dr. Afzal Ashraf told the paper that ISIS has drastically exaggerated its military power, prompting an international counterattack. Ashraf urged Western leaders to act now to wipe out the jihadi group. The U.S. has led a coalition of airstrikes against ISIS. The New York Times reported...

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker used his sooner-than-expected exit speech to spout the anti-Trump, populist-hating narrative now being pushed by the establishment’s entwined GOP, Democratic, Wall Street, and media wings. Establishment interests are trying to scare middle-class voters by painting a dark, depressing, and negative image over the optimistic and enthusiastic crowds now powering Donald Trump’s upbeat “Make American Great Again” campaign. “I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider [exiting] so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current frontrunner,” said Walker, who was recently expected to...

(Reuters) - Egyptian police battled thousands of protesters outside President Mohamed Mursi's palace in Cairo on Tuesday, prompting the Islamist leader to leave the building, two presidential sources said. Police fired teargas at demonstrators angered by Mursi's drive to hold a referendum on a new constitution on December 15. Some broke through police lines around his palace and protested next to the perimeter wall. Several thousand people had gathered nearby in what they dubbed "last warning" protests against Mursi, who infuriated opponents with a November 22 decree that expanded his powers. "The people want the downfall of the regime," the...

A controversial decision by Egypt’s Supreme Judicial Council to completely refrain from supervising a referendum on the recently approved constitution remains the top story in the Arab press. “Egypt: Judiciary boycotts the referendum… and the constitutional committee suspends work,” reads the main headline of the London-based daily A-Sharq Al-Awsat, long known for its anti-Islamist leanings. The paper reports that judges on the council — all appointed by deposed former president Hosni Mubarak — feared for their safety when they saw crowds of Muslim Brotherhood supporters blocking the roads leading to the gates, “climbing the fences… and inciting the people against...

GREENVILLE, SC --- Just a week before graduation, 23 year old Chris Peterman should be preparing his cap and gown. Instead, the Bob Jones University student says he's fighting for the degree he believes he's earned, and he believes the popular television show "Glee" may be partly to blame.

President Obama erred during a speech at the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia, when attempting to call the disputed archipelago by its Spanish name. Instead of saying Malvinas, however, Mr Obama referred to the islands as the Maldives, a group of 26 atolls off that lie off the South coast of India. Cristina Kirchner, the Argentine president, has renewed her country's sovereignty claim to the Falklands in the build-up to the 30th anniversary of the Argentine invasion of the islands, which triggered the Falklands War, on April 2. She has accused David Cameron of maintaining a "colonial enclave"...

Mitt Romney came out on top in New Hampshire, but he should have done far better against the hapless competition. You gotta hand it to the Mittbot 3.0. With all the charisma of a foreclosure agent and all the charm of a calculator, Mitt Romney rolled to a win in New Hampshire, a state in which one of Mitt's many mansions sits—and right next door to Massachusetts. Given those advantages, Romney looks weak even when he wins. Sure, he managed to surpass his 2008 total in New Hampshire (75,546 votes). But look at his competition this time! The field is...

Ethanol is Not About Energy Independence Have you figured out that the federal ethanol program is not about becoming energy independent, but about putting Midwest corn farmers on the government dole? If not, keep reading. If so, are you ready to help end it? That's in here, too. If you think ethanol lowers fuel prices, then I guess you don't know that each gallon of ethanol is subsidized 47.5 cents per gallon by our tax dollars. In fact, Brazil exports ethanol, but we put a 54 cents per gallon import tax on Brazilian ethanol and then limit its import to...

National Democrats are sending in some serious firepower against Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell in Delaware's Senate contest. Both President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will headline a joint campaign appearance and fundraiser for Democratic nominee Chris Coons next week. It's the first joint campaign appearance the two have made for a Democratic candidate so far this election cycle.

When the Fayetteville, Ark., Gay Pride Parade steps off on East Street Saturday on its way to the Wal-Mart parking lot, it will be led by a young man who has made a career out of fighting for gay rights. Make that a young boy. Will Phillips, the grand marshal, is 10 years old, and his presence has thrust Fayetteville's Gay Pride Parade into the national spotlight. ... It's typical a low key non event. But the selection of young Will, who last November refused to stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance in school to show his support for...

Here is video of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on This Week with George Stephanopoulos this morning where he was asked to react to the resignation of Van Jones as President Obama's "Green Jobs" Czar. Gibbs refused to say that Obama wanted Jones to resign, but rather said Jones decided to resign so he would not "get in the way" of Obama's agenda. Gibbs said Obama "thanks Jones for his work." Stephanopoulos pointed out the news came through at 12:12 AM ET that Jones had resigned. This is an example of an ultimate attempt to "bury the bad news."...

President Obama’s speech at the National Academy of Sciences Monday morning hit a brief snag when Obama got ahead of his script. Laying his plan for a President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, Obama began to name the members of PCAST listed in his prepared remarks – before realizing he’d already introduced them, earlier in his speech. “In addition to John – sorry, the – I just noticed I jumped the gun here,” Obama said, pausing for several seconds as he looked at the prompter. “Go ahead. Move it up. I had already introduced all you guys.”

I am completely stunned that the Obama campaign would now admit that Senator Obama did nothing to influence today's vote on the bailout bill. Obama got as far away as he could and is now trying to blame John McCain for the bills failure?! ...Obama sought to stay above the fray and maintain a steady demeanor that advisers maintain has set him apart throughout the financial turmoil. In other words he voted "Present" again as ususal. You just can't make this stuff up folks.

SAN FRANCISCO, July 15 — On the Internet nobody knows you’re a dog — or the chief executive of a Fortune 500 company. Or so thought John Mackey, the chief executive of Whole Foods Market, who used a fictional identity on the Yahoo message boards for nearly eight years to assail competition and promote his supermarket chain’s stock, according to documents released last week by the Federal Trade Commission. In one Internet posting sure to enter the annals of chief-executive vanity, Mr. Mackey wrote as Rahodeb, “I like Mackey’s haircut. I think he looks cute!” ---- Successful executives like Mr....

SPRINGFIELD, United States (AFP) - Senator Barack Obama (news, bio, voting record) is hoping his own unorthodox version of the American dream propels him from being a "skinny kid with a funny name" to being the most powerful man in the world. Obama, 45, who formally declared his candidacy in the 2008 White House race Saturday, has rocketed to political stardom in only two years, and has high hopes of becoming the first African-American president. "Today, together, we can finish the work that needs to be done, and usher in a new birth of freedom on this Earth," Obama told...

Barack Obama’s free ride is ending. The charismatic Illinois senator has enjoyed a lifetime of hagiography, starting with an 800-word story in The New York Times the day after his election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. Now, Obama’s about to endure a going-over that would make a proctologist blush. Why has he sometimes said his first name is Arabic, and other times Swahili? Why did he make up names in his first book, as the introduction acknowledges? Why did he say two years ago that he would “absolutely” serve out his Senate term, which ends...
