Anthony Bernal, who served as the chief of staff for former first lady Jill Biden, refused to answer questions regarding an alleged cover-up of former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
Bernal, who has been nicknamed Jill Biden’s “work husband,” pleaded the Fifth during a “closed-door testimony” in front of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, according to the Hill.
Per the outlet, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) revealed that Bernal had “pleaded the Fifth” when asked whether the former president had “ever instructed him to lie about his health” or if “any unelected official or family members executed the duties of the president.”
“Anthony Bernal — Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff — just invoked the Fifth Amendment during his congressional deposition,” Comer wrote in a post on X. “This week new reporting confirms President Biden’s aides took unauthorized executive actions during his presidency amid his cognitive decline.”
Comer added that it was “no surprise” that Bernal had invoked the Fifth Amendment “to shield himself from criminal liability.”
“During his deposition today, Mr. Bernal pleaded the Fifth when asked if any unelected official or family members executed the duties of the President and if Joe Biden ever instructed him to lie about his health,”

How can she plead the fifth? As far as I know, there is no law against covering up a cognitive decline? Many people do it.
Everyone who voted to accept his fraudulent electors on January 6th should be charged. An election wasn’t just stolen, but people voted to accept a person who was obviously mentally challenged when he ran for office in 2020.

Well that’s all well and good but what did Bernal say about Epstein?
That specific question doesn’t look to be covered by the 5A. It doesn’t ask Bernal anything about himself. This invocation looks like obstruction.
If the Congress folks want to set “perjury traps” they should ask one simple question at a time—not compounded questions that can be confusing.
It might if he is afraid of a conspiracy charge.
Once you waive your rights by answering questions it can be hard to reclaim it on the topic

The judge shouldn’t accept “pleading the 5th amendment” for th e sole reason that it isn’t a federal crime for covering up the cognitive decline of the 46th president. What is wrong with this judge?
Biden has been a garden vegetable for at least a decade. It was all covered up to install this dementia carcass and then run their NWO WEF globalists free for all USAID money laundering operation unhindered by any political considerations. Burn the house down with all the receipts inside.
Amazingly even as in-your-face as they operated, a large number of Americans seemed to be just fine and offered little resistance.
When I hear of people pleading the fifth it screams ‘guilty’.
Considering what a stupid *ss Biden was when he was at his best, let’s consider how much lower he was during the presidency. And he was fully supported by a media whose corruption requires scientific notation to get close to the magnitude of that corruption. Eff them all. Put ‘em in bunkers and call out the B2. Everyone, unless they have a deal, or are really stupid, pleads the 5th when testifying before Congress.
