What's up with the main forum pages??? The abibility to post a new thread directly form the Forum page is missing. We used to be at the top right and now it's gone. To post a new article we have to go to an existing article to find the Post Article link.

Alright, silly question here, I admit. I've been an occasional lurker/poster on FR for close to four years now, and while I'm on several ping lists, I've never managed one. I was hoping to get a little advice on the logistics of getting one rolling. Any help would be appreciated.

I have no way of knowing if this post is permitted or not? Freerepublic .. as I see it usually deals in current events and breaking news. I have a question and it seems Odd, even to me to ask a question on this site. My wife, God bless her, has children, (previous marriage) who graduated from Virginia Tech. Somehow, I stepped over the line tonite by saying that some students .. at Tech, stood, like sheep and waited to be shot by Cho. She is in complete denial and is so mad at me that I don't know what...

Hello FRiends This is my first and hopefully last thread. I have some questions for you motorcycle enthusiasts and would be forever grateful for polite answers without being called names :D. I was simply wondering what type of motorcycle you would recommend for getting from Kansas to Northern Canada, and if a cruiser would be acceptable to perform that task or would a touring bike be mandatory for such things. Some companies claim cruisers can take you across country but what do they define as "country", a 25 mile Sunday drive? Anyone have any personal favorite models that get them...

Gerald Lynch Jr.: Drunken driving sentences are disproportionately severe A letter to the editor Dear Editor: Joel McNally's column, "Truth in sentencing costly," caught my attention because I am incarcerated in a Wisconsin prison. I found the article to be well written, and without any of the soft rhetoric that I so often hear. He was direct and to the point. Wisconsin is the only state in the nation that does not require any jail time for a person's first offense drunken driving, yet the Legislature has changed the penalty for OWI homicide four times since 1992. I'm incarcerated for...

What would be the cause of this? My cousin has central heating (no gas) and when she turns her heat on above 65 degrees, the entire house smells of sewage. She has had it checked but nobody can tell her what the cause of this is. Anyone care to take a guess as to the culprit?

Columbia City, Ind. -- A teen accused of ordering from at least three fast food drive-thrus nude faces an indecent exposure charge. David Gatton, 18, of Columbia City, was found in the parking lot of a McDonald's by a sheriff's deputy after police received a call that the teen had been nude when he ordered from his car at the Arby's drive-thru, police said.

How do you cook meatballs? I googled some recipes that broil them. Also they fry them in sauce. But I thought if you fry them (boiled them?) in sauce, the meat gets done but not brown? Can you just fry them in a skillet with a little oil? Or will they not get done that way? thanx

Police: Camera catches prosecutor naked Tue Oct 10, 5:10 PM ET HAMILTON, Ohio - A security camera caught a city prosecutor walking around naked in a government building after business hours, authorities said. Scott Blauvelt, 35, was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of public indecency. He was released from the Butler County jail and is awaiting a hearing in Hamilton Municipal Court, where he usually works, sheriff's Maj. Anthony Dwyer said. A guard monitoring a security camera spotted a nude man investigators identified as Blauvelt in a building that houses county offices Thursday night, Dwyer said. The night...

I am very close to buying a pony – imminent, as in possibly within the next few days – and this message is very much off topic. The price of the pony is about $750, and she appears to be very nice. Stabling would be around $75. She is not a shetland, but more like a small horse. (Not sure of terms here.) Her temperament seems very good. Gentle, which is what I want. If any of you can give me any advice on what to look for or look out for, I’ll take it. I have no experience with...

A man who frequently walked naked in the garden of his home to harass a couple living next door has been arrested, police said. Toshio Shoji, 62, a pensioner from Kameoka, Kyoto Prefecture, is accused of violating a Kyoto prefectural ordinance that prohibits people from creating a nuisance. Shoji admitted to the allegations during questioning. "I got furious when they complained to me that I was standing naked, so I did it to harass them," he was quoted as telling investigators. Between May 18 and June 14, Shoji kept watch on a 48-year-old self-employed man and his 47-year-old wife living...

Well after reading all the glowing comments about Barry Hartz I can only believe that not one of the authors has ever attended a meeting in which Barry Hartz was in attendance. My experience at such meetings leaves me with wonderment as to how he could ever be an elected assemblyman. Never in all my years in the business world have I ever come across anyone who comes close to him in being a disruptive force - not just at one meeting, but time and again. He blusters, he stutters, he screams, he accusses, he looses all control. There doesn't...

I did some grilling today and made some "Bubba Burgers" and thought they were excellent! I was just wondering if anyone else has ever tried them. I cooked two different kinds the sweet onion and origional. Onions usually give me really bad heartburn, but i ate a sweet onion one by accident and it didn't disagree with me, it tasted great and no heartburn! :) Well.. just wondering if anyone else has ever tried these wonderful burgers...

Yesterday, a co-worker came into my office, planted a document on my desk, leaned over and began explaining it to me. What she didn't realize was that by leaning over, her loose blouse fell open and Hootchie Mama, I saw some things that only her husband and her doctor were entitled to see.It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I couldn't look away. I stood up but then I could see even farther down to the tattoos on her stomach. What should I have done? Should I have said something?
