Hawaii State Senator Sam Slom said that questioning the president about his birth certificate is legitimate. State Sen. Slom hasn’t seen evidence of an Obama Birth Certificate but says it is possible that the president was born in Hawaii. The problem according to Sen. Slom is what is actually on the president’s documents. Apparently, there is something on his records so adverse to the presidency that he doesn’t want the American people to see and that has caused him to hide his records including but not limited to; school, college, original passport and Illinois state senator records. Sam Slom further told the host of "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" on WABC 770 AM in New York City that so long as Obama refuses to be transparent about his past, questions about the president's birth remain "a legitimate issue." "My particular point of view – and why I haven't identified myself as a...

State Senate Minority Leader Sam Slom has urged Gov. Neil Abercrombie to provide additional information regarding the governor's decision to ask Dr. Neal Palafox to withdraw his nomination as director of the state Department of Health. Abercrombie asked Palafox to withdraw his nomination in January but has not disclosed the reason. A television news report, citing unnamed sources, said Palafox was involved in a medical reimbursement investigation. In a letter to Abercrombie on Friday, Slom (R, Diamond Head-Hawaii Kai) said he has spoken with federal sources that say Palafox is not under investigation. The senator had no information about a...

The cannabis plant has been used as a medicine for thousands of years. In the United States, doctors could prescribe marijuana cigarettes to patients for a variety of conditions until the 1940s, when it was banned. Marijuana's status as an illegal drug has removed it from the official medical arsenal, but its therapeutic power is still attracting attention, especially its pain-killing properties. About 30 percent of HIV patients develop painful nerves during the course of their illness, and this neuropathy is extremely difficult to treat with standard pain medications. Dr. Donald Abrams, of the University of California at San Francisco,...
