Hooters has closed dozens of locations as inflation continues choking people and businesses in President Joe Biden’s America. A Hooters spokesperson told the New York Post on Monday, “Like many restaurants under pressure from current market conditions, Hooters has made the difficult decision” to shut down some of its restaurants. Approximately 40 of its 300 restaurants across the globe have been closed. However, the company has been opening locations for American consumers and others all over the world, while also offering its frozen foods on the shelves of grocery stores.

The Quaker Oats Company announced Wednesday it is permanently closing its factory in Danville, Illinois, with upwards of 500 employees to be impacted. The News-Gazette reports Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. confirmed the news to the wider community, with city officials saying: Today, we learned that after 65 years of production in Danville, Pepsico will close Quaker Oats effective June 8, 2024. The business has already ceased production but will continue to pay their employees through that time. While this shocks and saddens us, we will unite as a community to help those who have lost their employment. Williams said he...

America’s diner may always be open, but it’s permanently closing a location that’s fed generations. Denny’s has closed its location in Oakland, California after 54 years due to high crime in the city. The restaurant was located at 601 Hegenberg Road. In a company memo shared with local outlets, Denny’s said the decision was not one taken lightly. “However, the safety and well-being of Denny’s team members and value guests is our top priority,” the company said. “Weighing those factors, the decision has been made to close this location.” The company retains a Bay Area location at 1776 Powell St....

Nordstrom’s flagship store in crime-plagued San Francisco closed its doors for the last time Sunday at a mall where fentanyl “zombies” now roam outside among drug dealers and thieves. Dozens of shoppers were seen over the weekend perusing mostly barren aisles for mementos from the formerly posh department store — which once featured a five-star spa, champagne and caviar bar and live pianist — as cops patrolled outside. “It’s a sad day,” a shopper named Julie told ABC 7 of the store, which was welcomed with much fanfare when it first opened on the corner of Market and Fifth streets...
  • Why can't the press get 21st century cameras?

Why is it that when the press is allowed into the white house to cover comments being said by the anointed one, you can barely hear the talking due to the extreme clicking and clacking of the (apparently) antique cameras making so much clatter? My gosh - Are these news agencies so broke that they can't upgrade to nice, quiet 21st century DIGITAL cameras instead of 20th century (probably dating back to the '30s or '40s) cameras?
