A Muslim graduation ceremony won’t be held at a community centre in Outremont Saturday evening after the borough cancelled the reservation. The Outremont borough issued a press release Saturday morning saying it had made the decision following “disturbing information” broadcast on the TVA Nouvelles network Friday. The network’s investigative show J.E. said two fundamentalist imams — Salah Assawy and Omar Shahin — were hosting the Académie de la charia nord-américaine, la MISHKA’s event where diplomas would be handed out in islamic studies.

Women at Love Field 'acting suspiciously' Dallas police and federal terrorism officials are investigating two women, both dressed in camouflage pants under their traditional Muslim robes and scarves, who were seen conducting what appeared to be surveillance and acting suspiciously at Dallas Love Field. A Colorado man faces charges that he helped a wealthy Democratic fundraiser cheat banks out of hundreds of millions of dollars. Federal prosecutors said Friday that Shahin Kashanchi, of Telluride, provided fake documents that let his brother-in-law Hassan Nemazee defraud three banks of more than $290 million. Nemazee was the national finance chairman for Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign. He later raised money for Barack Obama.

Muslims are demanding a private room to pray at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, saying there will be problems if they have to share an existing "quiet room" with people of other religions. "Where you have Christians and Muslims praying at the same time, it will create a problem," said Fuad Ali, a Somali leader who spoke at a meeting with airport officials, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Muslim religious leaders removed from a Minneapolis flight last week exhibited behavior associated with a security probe by terrorists and were not merely engaged in prayers, according to witnesses, police reports and aviation security officials. MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Three of four men charged in a Tennessee driver's license fraud case pleaded guilty Monday in federal court. Mostafa Said Abou-Shahin, Khaled Odtllah and Sakher A.
