t’s a question as old as time: how long should you wait before you sleep together? As a woman, this question is particularly tricky. Not because we’re supposed to be ‘ladies’. That view died as soon as the Sex and the City girls knocked blokes over the head with the news that, yes, women enjoy getting jiggy with it just as much as they do. No, no, it’s trickier for women because thanks to podcaster Joe Rogan, we’ve all heard about the frightful ‘post nut syndrome’ (PNS).

Selfish? Totally. I have one boy. He’s the most special of all special boys and handsome as can be. But he’s autistic. .... All the incidentals and help my friends have, I do not. All the typical milestones my friends get to enjoy and show off, I do not. Before I met my husband, I dreamt of a life similar to that of Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City. I know — it’s nauseating for me, too — but that’s the time I grew up in. I wanted to be a writer, living in NYC, in a fabulous apartment,...

In the same way that the show had an outsized influence on women’s fashion, so too did it influence their behavior. The latter didn't work out so well. “Some people are settling down, some people are settling, and some people refuse to settle for anything less than butterflies.” “The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.” — Carrie Bradshaw This month marks the twenty-year anniversary of the iconic television series “Sex and the City.” With smart writing...

Is truth stranger than fiction? Usually not, if the author of fiction tries to write something strange. However, the second paragraph of this report by my conservative cousin from New York is both true and stranger than fiction: New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has apparently become unhinged by the primary challenge from the Left of “Sex and the City” co-star Cynthia Nixon. In an effort to get to the Left of Nixon, Cuomo has descended into a bizarre fantasy world. To stop the Interior Department’s approval of offshore drilling, he vows “to commission a citizen fleet from throughout the state...

The nascent New York gubernatorial bid of Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon hit a rough start in the polls. I wondered initially if she was going to attempt to campaign in the more conservative haunts of upstate and how she might fare that far from her usual digs in Manhattan. This week Nixon set out to answer that question, making campaign stops in Syracuse and Rochester. In the latter appearance, she had a message for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Apparently, he’s not done enough to protect illegal aliens from the long arm of the law and if...

Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed that the third Sex and the City film will not go ahead following DailyMailTV's exclusive revelation that co-star Kim Cattrall put the kibosh on the film with her demands. Parker, 52, was approached by Extra at the New York City Ballet Gala on Thursday and asked about the future of the film. 'It's over… we're not doing it,' said the star, who was attending with husband Matthew Broderick, 55.

Actress Kristin Davis opened up recently about her fear for the safety of her 5-year-old daughter, who is black, after Donald Trump’s Nov. 8 victory. A reported spike in hate crimes since Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the presidential election has raised concerns of a continued increase in racially motivated acts of violence. “I’m on the intense learning curve because I have to protect my child,” the “Sex and the City” star said in a “How I Got Over” interview with WNYC’s Rebecca Carroll. “I might have had the intellectual learning curve that we all hope and wish we...

Chris Noth ✔ @RealNoth Every Tea Party member should be horsewhipped. Jim Treacher @jtLOL Come at me, bro. RT @RealNoth Every Tea Party member should be horsewhipped. The creators of that petition to arrest John Boehner, Eric Cantor and other influential Republicans are going to feel silly when they realize what an opportunity they missed. Red Alert Politics notes that actor Chris Noth of “The Good Wife” and “Sex and the City” has called for Tea Party members to be not arrested but horsewhipped. That’s pretty harsh, but Noth says they deserve it. Why? For being racists, of course.

Woman Has Lots of Sex To Be Like Samantha, Ends Up Like Bridget Jones So here’s something dumb: Ten years ago, Christina Saunders, a 30-year-old Englander, decided to sack 1,000 men in order to get the confidence of Sex and the City’s Samantha Jones. You know, Samantha Jones, the fictional character, whose personality is entirely scripted. As we all know, the best way to gain personal confidence is to aspire to be exactly like famous people on TV and do as they do. (I suppose I should be grateful Saunders didn’t admire the vaginal fortitude of Kate Gosselin. Things could...

The sexy brunette, from Hertfordshire, wanted to be just like man-eater Samantha. She told The News Of The World: ‘Sam went from one man to the next and was proud of it. I wanted to be confident like her. Samantha was sexy, confident and proud. She had a male attitude of sleeping around and it fascinated me. I got hooked on the buzz of one-night-stands.

No amount of special edition DVDs or syndicated repeats on UPN, Hot Johnny thought, would ever explain the rabid appeal of “Sex and the City”. It was too much part of an alien culture -- i.e., women -- to ever make more sense than the Sphinx or the Pyramids in Egypt. That is, until this week when he stumbled upon the answer. He was walking along the streets of Park Slope on Saturday, with his friend Sara, who was in town on business. The two of them had just enjoyed a delicious Bavarian-style lunch at Steinhof’s on 7th Avenue and...

Carrie and Co are set to hang up their Manolos and finish off their cosmos for good as the Sex And The City juggernaught grinds to a halt. Following 12 years, 94 episodes and two blockbuster movies, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are out of work. After the second Sex And The City movie received scathing reviews, Grazia reports that all plans for a third installment have been shelved.

Critics are assailing the new movie "Sex and the City 2" for its portrayal of liberated American women visiting the uptight Middle East. The movie's depiction of superficial Westerners violating the region's cultural taboos is allegedly so off-color it has been described as racist, offensive and a potential al Qaeda recruiting tool. Despite denouncing such films as symbols of Western cultural decadence, many in the Middle East would love to emulate what they see on the silver screen - and a fair portion of the educated classes secretly do. Punishment can be harsh for conduct the West would consider youthful...

Rarely has a movie inspired a debate as caustic — or as sexually divisive — as Sex and the City 2, a comedy of fashion and privilege that’s being dismissed by critics as shallow and ridiculous, and embraced by fans as a female fantasy that men cannot understand. Male and female audiences are often separated by subject matter, but Sex and the City 2 is doing more than that: When I saw it on a recent weeknight, I was one of two men in the audience of some 100 women. Warner Bros.’ exit polls show 90 per cent of the...

am rarely accused of being overly sensitive to other cultures, and I've had my share of disagreement with the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Yet even I was offended at the decision to center the plot of "Sex and the City 2" on an all-expenses-paid vacations to Abu Dhabi for New York's famed four best friends. The sequel's racy material was considered so objectionable that the Islamic emirate wouldn't let filmmakers work there, so the crew had to shoot in Morocco. The setup is just plain irritating. The four iconic New York friends -- 40-something and 50-something Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and...

The first reviews of Sex And The City 2 have been published, with one critic claiming the new film featuring Carrie and the girls is "anti-muslim". The scathing review came as the cast and crew attended the movie's New York premiere before heading to London to promote it. There have also been write-ups panning the sequel to the 2008 hit for lacking "script and soul". The film sees the four New Yorker friends travelling to the Middle East for a trip to Abu Dhabi, but the Hollywood Reporter says it conjures up a "scathing portrayal of Muslim society" Carrie, played...

Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Sarah Jessica Parker disapproves of her "Sex and the City" character. The actress - who plays columnist Carrie Bradshaw for all six TV series, last year's movie and will reprise her role for next year's film - didn't agree with the raunchy antics her alter-ego and her friends got up to. She is quoted as saying: "If the audiences had known my true feelings about some of the sexual content in 'Sex and the City,' they may have felt I wasn't the right person to be in such a series." Sarah - who recently became...

Just call me an agnostic when it comes to the fever and the fervor SATC inspires among many women around the world. I simply don’t understand it, don’t get it, and wouldn’t want to have sex in any city with any of those four women. Ahhhh, but what do we straight men really know? We live by our double standards of wanting pretty women in the boudoir who can function as hyper-orgasmic frauleins and bump booty with the best of them, while on the outside, we like our women to be perky mom types, wholesome and sociable.
