Israeli soldiers have entered Lebanon in an unprecedented escalation of events which global leaders fear could lead to a wider war in the Middle East.
The southern suburbs of the capital Beirut are also being bomarded by warplanes, with thousands told to evacuate, as soliders began their ground invasion of the country’s southern border in the early hours of Tuesday morning local time...

Wonder why global leaders did not fear the daily missle bombardment of Isral could lead to a wider war.
if only the rest of the world would eliminate the “death to Israel at any cost” terrorists...AT ANY COST! but they won’t. anti-Semitic turd from bass.
Biden says: “Don’t!”
I’m praying for Israel 🇮🇱 and the IDF.
[which global leaders fear could lead to a wider war in the Middle East.]
Don’t worry babies. God is going to let you have Satan’s Antichrist to deceive Israel one of these days.
Best of luck in the Valley of Megiddo and all that (7 years later).
Oh wait. Luck ain’t gonna help ya.
Excellent idea
Who?
You mean Lebanon’s sovereignty is being threatened by a neighboring country? How dare Israel! Israel should let their adversary station missiles on their border and threaten Israel with the backing of Iran, Syria, Gaza, Yemen, and Iraq. Israel is threatening all Middle East democracy. Where will their aggression stop!
100% sarcasm, of coarse.
I certainly hope that no Australians get involved. We have enough to deal with on our own borders.
Whatever CNN show was on 3am a couple of nights ago had a homely Karen host saying she hoped the United Nations would be able to stare down the Israelis before a “catastrophe” of wider war is caused by Israel. Then showed a picture of the dead terrorist leader and said after the commercials they would do a background bio of “this man who started as an unknown but built and led one of the largest paramilitary groups in combat in the world today.”
No need for me to comment.

Amen!! Been praying for them since October 7th.....This small Country is showing the entire world how to ELIMINATE the ENEMY!!!!
What wider war are they always talking about, who else is going to do anything?
“Biden had a chance to end this all months, years ago.”
Yes. Instead of trying to hold them back he should have pushed them to go harder and end it all quickly. Dragging this out is riskier than a quick decisive action.
Have we ever sent troops to fight Israel’s wars? Not, unless you count the 1982-83 peacekeeping mission to Lebanon, and that was not at Israel’s request but rather an imposed peace agreement caused by international pressure. Israel had invaded southern Lebanon in 1982 in the aftermath of the assassination of Lebanese President Bachir Gemayel, a Lebanese Christian and ally of Israel. Israel had allied themselves with the Christian Phalange Party during the Lebanese Civil war out of common interest and against common enemies - primarily the PLO at the time - who had embroiled Lebanon in a protracted, destructive war that was largely divided along religious lines with the Israelis and the Maronite Christians vs the Muslim-dominated PLO and its allies.
Next time you defend radical Islamic organizations like Hezbollah against Israeli “aggression”, ask yourself who the Christians in Lebanon are rooting for. The Lebanese Christians, once a majority in the country have dwindled to less than 15% due to the rise in power of both Shias and Sunnis in the country.
