During an appearance on CNN’s SE Cupp Unfiltered, Democrat presidential hopeful Eric Swalwell made clear he has a plan for handguns he will pursue after AR-15s are confiscated. Cupp began the segment on Saturday with Swalwell by telling him she appreciates the fact that he is one of the few leftist candidates who admits he plans to take away an entire category of firearms. Cupp pointed out that “assault weapons” are involved in “less that five percent of gun murders” in America. She then asked Swalwell why he is “stopping at ‘assault weapons’ …and not confiscating handguns, which account for...

Full header: "Wow: Whoopi Had To Correct Swalwell On Facts Surrounding Virginia Beach Shooting Despite His Anti-Gun 'Expertise" Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) on Wednesday made an appearance on "The View." Naturally, the discussion turned to his desire for gun control, especially after last week's tragic shooting in Virginia Beach. When asked what could be done to keep this from happening again, Swalwell reiterated his desire for an "assault weapons" ban and buyback program. "First, ban and buyback every assault weapon in America. I’m the only candidate calling for that. That will go a long way. Kids are sitting paralyzed with...

Full title: Relying on the Same Illogic That Trump Used to Ban Bump Stocks, a New Lawsuit Argues That Customizable Rifles Are Illegal A new lawsuit against the manufacturers of guns used in the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting claims that AR-15-style rifles are illegal because they are compatible with bump stocks, which increase their rate of fire. The plaintiffs, parents of a woman who was murdered in the Las Vegas massacre, argue that bump stocks like the ones used in that attack convert semi-automatic rifles into illegal machine guns—a position that has been endorsed by the Trump administration. Therefore,...

In the wake of the first round of debates in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, former Vice President Joe Biden has taken a serious hit, while Sen.s Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) are on the ascendant, along with Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Ind. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the 2016 runner-up, has fallen behind. Even so, both Sanders and Biden are maintaining a strong presence in the race. The race seems to be shaping up as a battle between these five candidates. While the first votes in the Democratic primary will not come until next year, it...

On 1 July, 2019, the Second Amendment Foundation and the Calguns Foundation joined to file a legal challenge to the California ban on the purchase of firearms by law-abiding adults 18-20 years old. New York/United States – -(AmmoLand.com)- When I first noted Andrew Cuomo’s efforts to misuse financial regulations against the National Rifle Association, I had hope that it would fail. I had hope that it would be like a last, desperate throw of the dice for one of the worst anti-Second Amendment extremists in the country. Furthermore, I had hope that its failure would be assured by the fact that Second Amendment supporters would unite against the abuses. To my sorrow and anger, I was wrong. Instead, over a year after this started, Andrew Cuomo is winning. An anti-Second Amendment extremist who...

Sen. Kamala Harris demonstrated rare skill during the debate -- managing to shiv Joe Biden and look nice doing it. By adopting the language of "hurt" instead of anger, she finessed the problem that usually attends launching an unprovoked attack: that it may harm the perpetrator as much as the target -- think Chris Christie and Marco Rubio in 2016. Harris' pose of wounded disappointment shielded her -- at least until her rollout of $35 T-shirts the following morning, featuring the image of herself as a child. That revealed, shall we say, a certain calculation. Still, Harris's maneuver achieved its...

Starting on July 22, 2019, Walmart will no longer sell firearms in New Mexico. A spokesperson for the retail giant told local media that the decision was in response to the July 1st rollout of the state’s new universal background check law. “Unlike a specialty sporting goods retailer where customers expect to see firearms of various types being handled, Walmart customers do not generally expect to see individuals walking through the store potentially carrying multiple firearms, which can lead to confusion and potentially putting both our customers and associates at risk,” Walmart spokeswoman Tiffany Wilson told KOAT. Signed into law...

Peace. Trump said this week that if he hadn’t been elected, the U.S. would be at war with North Korea. That’s a stretch, but he has demonstrated repeatedly that he is not eager to use America’s military overseas. Prosperity. The single most reliable indicator of whether an incumbent president will be reelected is whether the economy is doing well. Under Trump, the economy is going gangbusters—in fact, better than most economists predicted was even possible. With unemployment at record lows and the stock market at record highs, there isn’t even a hint of inflation. Trump stimulated an economy Sovereignty. If...

Miley Cyrus gave a dire warning to fans on Friday when she closed out a concert with an expletive-laden rant to fans about the importance of taking action against climate change. iHeart Radio reports that as the singer finished her performance at the 2019 Tinderbox Festival in Odense, Denmark, she launched into a rant criticizing the U.S. for not doing enough to protect LGBT people.
Republicans worry that the NRA and two other groups that have long formed the core of their electoral infrastructure will be effectively on the sidelines.

"Guns and fireworks are symbols of the birth of our Nation and our freedom. The beautiful spectacle in the skies and the loud booms created by fireworks are a proxy for the gunfire that forged us as a unified nation. Thus, guns and fireworks are symbols of independence and the power to secure it. Tyrants hate that. More and more around the country, there are restrictions on gun sales as well as fireworks. This is a symptom of the same illness; over-reaching autocrats pushing their will on the people. When the Second amendment is encroached, the banning of fireworks is...

Weatherby ribbon-cutting cermonyWhen Weatherby Inc. opened its doors to their new headquarters in Sheridan, Wyoming on June 13, 2019, it ushered in a lot more than customers, employees and the media. The company welcomed something they haven’t felt in years – freedom. You see, when Weatherby packed up their people and gun-building business in Paso Robles, Calif., one thing they couldn’t bring with them was California’s support for the 2nd Amendment. It doesn’t exist. And, as Adam Weatherby discovered immediately, Wyoming doesn’t simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution, they support it openly and passionately. California’s distain for American’s constitutional...

The gun industry is pushing back against a proposed suppressor ban introduced recently by Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ). The bill, if passed, would ban the importation, sale, manufacture, transfer or possession of suppressors. Many Republicans and the NRA are saying the benefits of suppressors include hearing protection for the gun user and less noise pollution for those within earshot of a discharge. President and Executive Director the Amerian Suppressor Assocation Knox Williams said, "Suppressors are essentially mufflers for a gun." Williams explained that suppressors don't come close to "silencing" a gun (many uninformed journalists and anti-gun advocates call suppressors "silencers")....

Just what you’d expect a newly elected president in the “honeymoon period” to do after another wrenching, bitter national election: Pick up the biggest culture-war grenade she can find, pull the pin, and roll it through the doors of the Capitol.

Fairfax, VA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Many of my friends are calling me wanting to know what the hell is going on with NRA, as if I ought to know. But all I know is from past observation and from what I’m reading almost daily in newspapers or internet blogs. Mind you, I’m on the outside: I am not, and never have been, on the NRA Board of Directors. But to try to answer them I wrote this encapsulation. Here’s how the situation looks to me. If what follows is not substantially true or seems unfair, I hope somebody on the inside hastens to correct me. Because it’s depressing.

In a series of tweets Parkland survivor and activist Emma González has slammed Madonna's new music video, "God Control." The video is a statement by Madonna on gun control and anti-gun violence. Madonna makes powerful statement against gun violence in 'God Control' video. It begins with a warning for viewers and shows people, including Madonna, being gunned down with an assault weapon on a dance floor. The scene is evocative of the Pulse nightclub attack in 2016 in which 49 people were killed. González was a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida in February 2018 when...

See video at link. Andrew Yang has been censored by MSNBC. His mic was cut off during the debate so he could not respond. The other candidates' mics were NOT cut off. He only got two questions. Why? They (media punks) said Yang was the debate's "loser". They didn't even give him the chance to speak and tried to make him appear timid and stupid. Why don't the mainstream media want people to hear what Yang has to say?

The two Democratic presidential debates last week in Miami were marked by calls to remember Florida’s Parkland High School shooting, which occurred only 50 miles away from where the debate took place. The Democrats agreed on two solutions to stop these attacks: impose background checks on private transfers of guns, and ban “military-style” “weapons of war.” Even when the questions weren’t about gun control, candidates still found ways to bring up the topic. A Message from michigan.org Sponsored Video Watch to learn more Many Democrats have a hard time believing that their opponents want to save lives. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand,...

For the 2020 election, Democrats are proposing policies of sweep and ambition not seen since the New Deal or the Great Society. Ideas that would have seemed radical even five years ago — publicly funded college, a Green New Deal, Medicare for All — are now at the top of many candidates’ platforms. Most intriguing: As once-fringe ideas enter the mainstream debate, they are proving popular. “Medicare for All is supported by at least 55 percent of the public,” says Sean McElwee, a co-founder of the progressive think tank Data for Progress. “So why is that treated as an extreme...
