On 1 July, 2019, the Second Amendment Foundation and the Calguns Foundation joined to file a legal challenge to the California ban on the purchase of firearms by law-abiding adults 18-20 years old.
The ban was signed by then Governor Brown on 28 September, 2018. It went into effect, as part of SB 1100, on 1 January, 2019.
The ban prohibited the sale of all firearms to people between who are 18-20 years old, with a few exceptions. If the person is in the active member of the military, a peace officer, has been honorably discharged from the military, or is a reserve peace officer, or who has a hunting license.
The Heller decision specifically includes 18-20 year olds both as being in the class of people whose rights are protected by the Second Amendment, and as members of the militia as defined by federal law. From a press release by the Second Amendment Foundation:
Joining SAF and Calguns are the Firearms Policy Coalition, Firearms Policy Foundation, a local business and three private citizens. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. The plaintiffs are represented by lead counsel John W. Dillon of Carlsbad, California-based Gatzke Dillon & Balance LLP. A copy of the court filing can be accessed at www.firearmspolicy.org/legal.

Now SCOTUS will have to show their true colors. This will be a wake up call for many Republicans/Conservatives that still place extreme importance on judicial nominations when in reality the courts at this juncture, are a lost cause. We need to reform the judicial branch to make judges accountable to the people and to remove lifetime appointments. We must again limit the courts to the original constitutional powers. The courts must not be allowed to legislate from the bench. District courts must not be allowed to make rulings affecting anywhere but their districts. We must eliminate any use of Stare Decicis as justification for anything. We must make it standard practice to remove rogue justices that repeatedly make nonsensical rulings. etc. etc. Short of this we are wasting time for the most part in picking judges. We are never going to have a true conservative court. I'm not saying don't try to pick conservative originalist judges but rather realize this is not really going to change anything significant. The left fights hard for judges NOT because they still think it's a means to an end. The left has totally won the war for the judicial branch. The reason they fight so hard is merely an insurance policy, nothing more. They want to eliminate any chance of us winning in court but the reality is even if Trump nominates a record number of SCOTUS judges we are still never going to win anything significant. Judicial reform is the answer.
Removing lifetime appointments requires a Constitutional Amendment. Doubt if that will happen soon. Congress, however, does have the power to limit what Federal courts rule on, but to my knowledge has never exercised that power. The current Congress is hopeless. If only we would have had control of both houses of Congress...
Yes a lot of what was listed requires amending the Constitution. I agree the congress is worthless. I think its pretty safe to say outside of the military and our President the whole dang government is useless.
If someone is married and is a Christian, you have no choice. Manny Biblical scholars believe this verse also applies to more than just financial things. Security is one of them.
1Timothy 5:8
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
I suspect an overturning of the California ban will have an effect there too.

If I recall correctly, we DID have control of both houses and the Presidency during PRESIDENT TRUMP’S first two years in office.
A LOT OF GOOD THAT DID US.
Both houses are occupied by nothing but DEMICANS and REPUBLICRATS.
All worthless piles of shit!
If only we would have had control of both houses of Congress...
I can certainly understand that.
