My friend argued with me that Obama just wanted to tell the kids to stay in school and treat others nicely, and listen to your teachers. Fine... there is nothing wrong with telling kids that... My problem is the one who is saying it. The drop out rate will not decrease because Obama said stay in school. It starts at home, with a solid foundation and parents who are involved. Both of my sons are great students and great kids, I believe it's because their mother and I do their homework with them every night, we talk to their teachers...

Here is video of Fox News' Megyn Kelly this morning confronting Broward County, Florida School Superintendent James Notter for his decision to make it mandatory for students to attend President Obama's "School Speech" today. He also says students will face penalties for not attending. Kelly pressed him on why they are not making the event voluntary when Obama's own Secretary of Education has said it should be voluntary. Notter just kept repeating, "This is not an opt out part of our curriculum." Kelly pointed out that Broward County is the only school district they know of in the country making...

It may have taken awhile, but with the advent of The Most Radical President In U.S. History, the Silent - conservative -- Majority is finally Speaking Truth to Power. And Power is listening. Thanks to our activism, "green jobs czar" and Truther nutcase Van Jones has resigned. And thanks to us, the Department of Education has removed the fascistic trappings from the student activities to accompany the president's upcoming "school speech": The original version [of an email to principals] suggested students "write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president." The updated version asks students to...
  • The Day The Joker Came to School: Obama’s Fairytale School Spin

When Barack Hussein Obama tried to pass himself off as `The Poor Boy Who Grew Up to Become President’, tens of millions of Americans recognizing the spin, didn’t buy it. Now Obama is spinning the tale of `Poor Boy Makes Good’ during their children’s first day back at school tomorrow. The Preening President who can’t resist pumping his message to the school book set, tries for cool in his opening remarks. ...”No matter what grade you’re in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer, and you could’ve stayed in bed just a little longer this morning,” Obama...
  • The One’s Speech: A Display of Malignant Narcissism

The speech is a total display of malignant narcissism. Not only does Obama talk about himself excessively, the speech seems to be aimed at students who probably remind him of himself when he was young and encourages those students to be like, well, himself. Asking students to help out their community is asking them to follow his foot steps—he being a self-described “community organizer.” But more importantly, directing the speech to the students with discipline problems and telling them that they, too, could become the next Michael Jordan or inventor of the iPod is encouraging the President’s one enduring trait:...
  • Megyn Kelly Told Punishment for Missing Obama School Speech: "Listening to Joe Biden Speech" - Video

Here is video from this morning where guest Roger Stone told Fox News' Megyn Kelly that punishment for children skipping school tomorrow in Broward County, Florida because of President Obama's "School Speech" will be to have to "listen to a speech by Vice-President Joe Biden." On a serious note, Kelly did say someone called a school and was told if their child skipped the speech, there would be a punishment of some kind. NOTE: The other Fox host said listening to a Biden Speech might violate the 8th Amendment - meaning the prohibition against "cruel and unusual punishment." (VIDEO)
  • Will Sidwell Friends hear the Bamster's speech this Tuesday?

I was at the tea party in Southaven MS yesterday, and a speaker said he will of course speak to his own children about responsibility and staying in school. That made me wonder if the Obama girls will be hearing this speech in thier own classromms this Tuesday? A good father would demand thier children would hear such needed prose! This would be the first question Gibbs would be asked. Will the Obama children hear this?
