SAN FRANCISCO -- A former executive of the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics was sentenced Wednesday to seven years in state prison for defrauding the San Francisco nonprofit out of $773,000, authorities said. Carl Gill, 47, of Oakland was charged four years ago in the case. He was sentenced by Judge Cynthia Lee in San Francisco Superior Court after pleading guilty to two felony counts of grand theft and six counts of tax evasion, prosecutors said.
