Revealing details of their comeback tour, they said they will perform a series of shows across the UK later this year. The trio -- the band's classic line-up -- will be joined by Collins' 18-year-old son Nicholas on drums and longstanding associate Daryl Stuermer on guitar and bass.

(This classic Dave Barry column was originally published July 25, 2004.) When word got around the music community that the original Federal Duck was getting back together after 35 years, the reaction from serious rock fans was unanimous: ``Why?'' I should explain that the Federal Duck was the band I belonged to when I was a student at Haverford College back in the '60s. We were originally called The Stomp Jackson Quintet, and then The Guides (don't ask), but we came up with our new and final name one night when we were lying on the bank of the Haverford...

Stop crying your heart out, Oasis singer tells British troops in Iraq Tue Nov 21, 8:22 AM ET Noel Gallagher of the British rock band Oasis has told soldiers fighting in Iraq to stop complaining when they get wounded. The chief songwriter and lead guitarist said Tuesday troops loved getting involved in war-zone action until they get hurt. In a wide-ranging rant, the fired-up 39-year-old also turned his guns on British Prime Minister Tony Blair, environmentalists, Elton John, his brother Liam -- the lead singer in the band -- and predicted his own daughter would become a "mental, axe-wielding, cyber-punk...

How To Dismantle An Idolized Bono I’m pretty sure I won’t get much opposition if I say that U2 is the greatest rock band of all time. When I scored two great seats to one of the shows at Madison Square Garden last month, I thought my life had reached its pinnacle. It was a euphoric experience. During the first few songs, I stood, along with the rest of the stadium, as we pumped our fists into the air and sang along with every word. The energy in the air was emotionally overwhelming.
