The Trump administration on Tuesday announced a ban on new foreign-made humanoid robot imports to the US over "unacceptable risks" to the country's national security. The move applies to advanced robots - including humanoid and four-legged machines. Many of them are made in China, which is locked in a race with the US to develop robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) also banned the import of power inverters - a device used in data centres and solar panels - which it said could also pose a risk to the US economy. FCC chairman Brendan Carr said...

Each year, millions more graduates are thrust into China’s already saturated jobs market. Instead, how about machines doing it all faster than humans ever could? Well, here's a little announcement the global burger...

Sebastian Thrun, the godfather of the self-driving car industry, explains how Larry Page taught him to be a visionary, not just an 'expert' "Back in 2009, when I had become officially the godfather of self-driving cars, and the world expert (maybe there were four or five experts, but I was certainly at the top of my field), Larry Page comes to me and says, 'Hey, Sebastian, I want you to do a car in California that can drive anywhere in California, any road. Up to that point, the best we had ever seen was an empty dessert track, or an...
