REFUGIO - A Refugio County grand jury Thursday indicted Precinct 4 Commissioner Raymond Villarreal on three charges of tampering with a government document, a state jail felony, and four counts of illegal voting, a third-degree felony, stemming from the March Democratic Primary, said District Attorney Mike Sheppard. REFUGIO - Immigrant smuggling is an ongoing battle for authorities in South Texas. Last week a van loaded with illegals crashed while trying to get away from authorities, leaving two dead. Wednesday 6 News was with authorities in Refugio County when they arrested several immigrants during a bail out. They're coming from Honduras in search of a better life.
