The Australia which I Iive in is a police state. Antiwhite racism and feminist tyranny reduce good people to poverty. But prayer still gives refuge. As I write this, it is Sunday morning in the Socialiat Left governed state of Victoria. Via this post, I share Fr Justin Glyn's glorious concept of God as "the Voice Of Sheerest Silence." Praise Freedom. God Bless America. God Save Australia.

Bloodworth, 36, told the the Refugee Appeal Division in 2019 that she had been stalked by her college roommate who she alleged had threatened her with a gun. Bloodworth, who is now studying biological sciences at Yukon University, claimed she was the target of threats and violence from...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) joined other lawmakers in calling for former Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro, whose supporters stormed Brazilian governmental offices Sunday, to not be allowed to stay in Florida. “Nearly 2 years to the day the US Capitol was attacked by fascists, we see fascist movements abroad attempt to do the same in Brazil,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a tweet. “We must stand in solidarity with @LulaOficial’s democratically elected government. The US must cease granting refuge to Bolsonaro in Florida.”

Connecticut is set to become a “place of refuge” for those who get an abortion after the state Senate passed a bill on Friday increasing abortion rights. The Connecticut Senate passed the bill by a 25-9 vote, weeks after the bill passed through the state House. The bill now goes to Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont for his signature, which he has already promised to provide.

The children were sexually and physically abused and suffered from neglectful supervision and medical neglect while at The Refuge, a facility located in Bastrop contracted by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, a current Refuge employee reported to state authorities on Jan. 24. The court and the court monitors — watchdogs of the foster care system appointed by the judge — were not notified until Thursday. That employee said a former staff member sold nude photos of two children in the facility’s care, using the proceeds to purchase illegal drugs and alcohol that were then supplied to the...

Juror 4 vigorously defends the across-the-board acquittals of Ammon Bundy and his six co-defendants, calling the rulings a "statement'' about the prosecution's failure to prove the fundamental elements of a conspiracy charge.

It was a rough morning for U.S. attorneys arguing the federal government’s case against Ammon Bundy, Ryan Bundy and six other defendants accused of conspiring to occupy an Oregon wildlife refuge. A visibly frustrated Judge Anna Brown struck from the record a previous ruling that effectively allowed evidence from defendants’ Facebook accounts into next month’s trial. Despite calling an assistant U.S. attorney, two legal assistants and an FBI agent as witnesses, prosecutors weren’t able to explain to the court how protected information from 11 Facebook accounts used by defendants ended up being shared as part of discovery. Judge Brown ordered...

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office released video footage Tuesday shot from Ryan Bundy’s cellphone in the moments before and after police shot wildlife refuge occupier Robert “LaVoy” Finicum. Ryan Bundy, the brother of Ammon Bundy, was one of the leaders of the occupation at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The footage is shot from inside Finicum’s truck during a fatal Oregon State Police traffic stop Jan. 26. “We got too lackadaisical trying to speak to people,” Ryan Bundy said in the video after Finicum died. “But anyway they ambushed us on the way to John Day.” Finicum, an Arizona rancher...

Now, he and his wife spend their days in this isolated Turkish town in a cramped, coal-heated apartment that lacks a proper toilet. But Mr. Shojai, 28 years old, continues to churn out articles on antigovernment Web sites about Iranian political prisoners, and helps to link students in Tehran with fellow students in Europe. "I feel very guilty that I have abandoned my friends and countrymen, so I make up for it...

CARACAS, Venezuela – A prominent opponent of President Hugo Chavez accused the socialist leader's government on Wednesday of turning a blind eye to leftist Colombian rebels taking refuge in border areas of Venezuela. Tachira state Gov. Cesar Perez said both leftist guerrillas and righist paramilitary groups from Colombia operate in nearly a third of his border state, but he said Venezuelan troops ignore the rebels and try to root out only the right-wing militias. "The guerrillas are there with the government's blessing and the military has orders to leave them alone," Perez told The Associated Press in an interview. "The...

A transgender Mexican who claims he'll be killed in his homeland for dressing like a woman is getting a second shot at refugee status in what may be the first case of its kind in Canada. Jose Arturo Contreras Hernandez, who now lives in Toronto, claims his life is in danger in Mexico because he's a transgender cross-dresser. "He fears danger to return to Mexico because he is a homosexual and likes to dress as a woman," Mr. Justice John O'Keefe said in a Federal Court of Canada decision last month. Hernandez arrived in Canada in 2006 and filed an...
