We tend to think that every perceived wrong must be litigated to be made right, but the tenth amendment specifically includes "the people" in it's list of those with standing.

Just how much influence is President Donald Trump going to have on the U.S. Supreme Court? His administration hasn’t been quiet about its hopes to replace as many as four justices — with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg near the top of the list. But with rumbling concerns about her health, Ginsburg doesn’t appear to be ready to step down. In fact, the same week she was a no-show at President Trump’s address to Congress, she was in the news for her impressive workout regimen. Now aged 84, and the senior member of the high court’s four-person liberal wing, Ginsburg has...

Would the good people at FR please have a little patience. I am so tired of people here proving the Democrats have a winning hand in Obstructionism. The fact that every single Trump agenda and personal activity is met with complete contempt by the Left only proves that it will be S-l-o-w going getting an agenda thru both personally and politically for the President, and the Republicans. So much whinning about inaction here in the comments; relax and get off the 24/7 political hamster-wheel - patience my FR-iends! So much contempt for everyone, both right and left. Patience is a...

In his speech to Congress on December 7, 1915, Woodrow Wilson made the following point about hyphenated Americans: There are citizens of the United States, I blush to admit, born under other flags but welcomed under our generous naturalization laws to the full freedom and opportunity of America, who have poured the poison of disloyalty into the very arteries of our national life; who have sought to bring the authority and good name of our Government into contempt, to destroy our industries wherever they thought it effective for their vindictive purposes to strike at them, and to debase our politics...

In 1921, George Douglas Howard Cole(Who would become a member of the Fabian Society) wrote the following in a book about Guild Socialism: (page 156) We have now completed our outline sketch of the structure and methods of working of a Guild Socialist Commonwealth, and have thus come to the threshold of the practical problem of transition to it from the capitalist Society of to-day. And here the first question that confronts us, as it confronts all Socialists under the conditions of the present time, is the question of "evolution and revolution." Do we hope and intend to bring about...

There is a new argument that progressives are cooking up, consider this a warning. Be prepared. In Original Intent and the Framers' Constitution, the following is written: (page 268) Oddly enough, those who advocate a constitutional "jurisprudence of original intention" and assert that the Constitution "said what it meant and meant what it said," are the ones who most vigorously deny content to the Ninth Amendment and to the concept of a "living Constitution." Presumably, they would not swear fealty to a dead Constitution, not even to a static one of the sort endorsed by Chief Justice Roger Taney in...

Reports are circulating that the terrorist responsible for the attacks outside the Palace of Westminster in London today is radical Muslim cleric Abu Izzadeen, whose birth name was reported to be Trevor Brooks, from Clapton in Hackney. Scotland Yard did not confirm the attacker's identity but did confirm that he was killed during the assault. Police said the man acted alone in the attack.

(He) stated his position when he said that the history of government, the history of liberty, was the history of the limitation of governmental power. This is true as an academic statement of history in the past. It is not true as a statement affecting the present. It is true of the history of medieval Europe. It is not true of the history of twentieth-century America. In the days when all governmental power existed exclusively in the king or in the baronage and when the people had no shred of that power in their own hands, then it undoubtedly was...

So this happened. I have a hypothesis. Gay people often get away with murder. Certainly behavior that straight men could never get away with. So my producer and I put that to the test. Behaving the exact same way and even repeating the exact same phrases to women at the mall. The only difference? One of us is gay. One straight. The reactions are, well... entirely expected. You're welcome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngATnQFL-FQ

I have been reading some news entries and saw some pictures of some of the crowds from the March 4 Trump rallies. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. You turned off your televisions, neglected whatever sport happened to be on, you got up off of your couches, and many of you brought your families. That is good, your young kids (or grandkids!) need to see you doing this - they need this example. They need to see you engaging in self-government, something which our Founders showed us that we needed to be out there doing....

Russell V. DeLong, Ph.D. was a noted educator and churchman who surveyed history, philosophy and goals of Communism- and provides an inspiring program of action that answers the question: "What can I do about Communism? " The interest of the author in Communism stems from two primary factors. First-because of his professional consideration of the subject in connection with his classes in Political and Social philosophy; and second, because of his world travels and experiences behind the Iron Curtains.

Historians are fond of referring to the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments together as "America's Second Founding". These three amendments produce an overwhelming, positive good: They abolish (Constitutionally) the legacy of the British Crown in bringing slavery to these colonies and henceforth these states. But here is the funny thing. The "Founding Fathers" of these three amendments, did not create a brand new United States of America. They did not discuss contraceptives. They did not discuss homosexuality, or abortions, the parents of illegal aliens, or any other of the things that radical judges like to say they discussed. They didn't...
