President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have reached an agreement to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Still, Ukraine and NATO are “going to have to agree,” Trump stated, noting that “there’s no deal until there’s a deal,” and “it’s ultimately up to them.”

This comes after a three-hour-long meeting between President Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, and their Russian counterparts.

” I would like to hope that the agreement we’ve reached together will help us bring closer that goal and will pave the path towards peace in Ukraine,” Putin told reporters following his meeting with President Trump at Joint Base Elmendorf–Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

“We expect that Kiev and European capitals will perceive that constructively and that they will not throw a wrench in the works”

The two leaders spoke for approximately twelve minutes and did not take any questions.

Details of the agreement are still not known publicly.

Putin: I would like to hope that the agreement we’ve reached together will help us bring closer that goal and will pave the path towards peace in Ukraine.

We expect that Kiev and European capitals will perceive that constructively and that they will not throw a wrench in the works, it will not make any attempts to use some backroom dealings to conduct provocations to torpedo the nascent progress.

President Trump told reporters, “There’s no deal until there’s a deal. I will call up NATO in a little while. I will call up the various people that I think are appropriate, and I’ll, of course, call up President Zelensky and tell him about today’s meeting.”

He continued, “It’s ultimately up to them. They’re going to have to agree with what Marco and Steve and some of the great people from the Trump administration, who have come here, Scott and John Ratcliffe, thank you very much.”

“We really made some great progress today. I’ve always had a fantastic relationship with President Putin, with Vladimir. We had many, many tough meetings, good meetings. We were interfered with by the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. That made it a little bit tougher to deal with, but he understood it.”

IF Trump ends that war, how are the Democrats going to spin it into a negative?

Because Trump and Putin have the cards they have clearly put the ball in Zelensky, the Neocons, and the Euroweenies court.

What cards they got remains to be seen.

Oh, that’s easy. No way in Hell does any peace settlement leave Crimea in the hands of Ukraine, so they’ll claim he sold out Ukraine.

Putin stated this:
"I'd like to remind you that in 2022, during the last contact with a previous administration, I tried to convince my previous American colleague it should not...the situation...should not be brought to the point of no return when it would come to hostilities. And I said quite directly back then that's a big mistake. Today, when President Trump saying that if he was the president back then there will be no war. And I'm quite sure it would indeed be so. I can confirm that. I think overall me and President Trump have built a very good business-like trustworthy contact. And every reason to believe moving down this path better to the end of the conflict in Ukraine."

Putin agreed with Trump that Ukraine’s security must be guaranteed, and framed the agreement as a starting point for resolving the Ukraine situation, as well as restoring economic relations.

“I would like to hope that the agreement we’ve reached together will help us bring closer that goal and will pave a path towards peace in Ukraine,” Putin says.

“I expect that today’s agreements will be the starting point, not only for the solution of the Ukrainian issue, but also will help us bring back businesslike and pragmatic relations between Russia and the US.”

He also notes that US and Russian investment and business cooperation have “tremendous potential.”

Trump then spoke:

“We had an extremely productive meeting and many points were agreed to. There are just a very few that are left.

Some are not that significant; one is probably the most significant, but we have a very good chance of getting there.

We didn’t get there but we have a very good chance of getting there.”

“There’s no deal until there’s a deal,” Trump added.

Trump added that he will confer with the leaders of NATO and Ukraine.

“I’m going to start making a few phone calls and tell them what happened,” he said.

Putin suggested the next meeting of the two leaders should be in Moscow stating in English: “Next Time, in Moscow”.

Neither Putin nor Trump fielded any questions from reporters.

It looks like some believing of one’s own propaganda was in play.

No, Putin was not terrified of Bone Breaking Sanctions. He didn’t come to say yes to all the opposition conditions, for fear of sanctions. That’s the most sanctioned country there has ever been and it has compelled nothing.

There is now going to be a collective returning to the drawing board, and sooner rather than later it will become clear the US has no cards it can play.

If he gives any concessions to Putin at all they’ll say he’s TACO and a Putin stooge, no matter how tiny.

If he gets them to pull out totally and end it all with Ukraine intact they’ll just say Putin still won over him or just ignore it all and back to Epstein.

No one else is reporting on the Trump-Putin meeting this way because this did not happen. Trump admitted as much.

Nothing came out of this meeting to present to Ukraine or their allies. Therefore, there is no agreement or proposal of any kind that could end the war. Simple, no?

Of course, this is from the Gateway Pundit, which is better at conservative clickbait then journalism.

And today 8/15/25, Donald Trump shook the hand of a war criminal and welcomed him back onto the world stage.

Trump is willing to play nice with the evil that is Putin and thinks it won’t rub off on him. Too bad Trump did not get the chance to shake hands with Jeffry Dahmer.

The solution is to defeat Putin, not appease him.

“IF Trump ends that war, how are the Democrats going to spin it into a negative?

Of course, they will. It’s like their whole job.

They will probably say that it gives Putin too much, and that they would have done better.
