A crime tale straight out of Charles Dickens is unfolding in the Big Apple — with adults “directing” children who appear no older than 10 to steal from unsuspecting businesses, witnesses told The Post. The chubby-cheeked crooks have terrorized bars on the east and west side of Manhattan and Brooklyn for months, graduating from snatching money in unattended bags to stealing cash from open safes in at least two bars in the last few weeks, according to workers and owners.

CBS News offered a stunning admission that it had "incorrectly" edited a newsworthy exchange between "Face the Nation" host Margaret Brennan and Vice President Kamala Harris, omitting a key part of the interview. In a preview clip that aired Thursday on "CBS Mornings," Brennan is seen asking Harris about age being a factor in the upcoming election with her elderly running mate, 80-year-old President Biden, at the top of the Democratic ticket. "You're 58 now. If you win the second term, as you and the president are running to do, he would be 86 at the end of it," Brennan...

The Alternative Secret History of the World According to the Liberal Left Prior to July 4, 1776, not a single person in the world starved, got sick, worked hard for a living, or experienced any pain nor anxiety. With so many zealots simmering in the anti-American melting pot of "progress," one might think they had already cooked some shared historical narrative in which anti-Americanism actually makes sense and the entire Leftist agenda doesn't appear so absurd. What is it? Most "progressive" critics either don't think that far, or they don't have the guts to give their views a full exposure....

We could be producing concrete that's 30 percent stronger by processing and adding charred coffee grounds to the mix, researchers in Australia have discovered. Their new recipe could solve multiple problems at the same time. Every year the world produces a staggering 10 billion kilograms of coffee waste globally. Most ends up in landfills. "The disposal of organic waste poses an environmental challenge as it emits large amounts of greenhouse gases including methane and carbon dioxide, which contribute to climate change," explains RMIT University engineer Rajeev Roychand. With a booming construction market globally, there's also an ever increasing demand for...

I remember when Richard Nixon resigned. Even though I was only 12 at the time, I had a general understanding that our country’s president had done something wrong, got caught, and needed to step aside. “By taking this action,” Nixon said in his national address on August 8, 1974, “I hope that I will have hastened the start of the process of healing which is so desperately needed in America.” Fast forward to 2023: A former president faces 91 felony charges for crimes ranging from falsifying business records to the “willful retention of national defense information,” from violating the Georgia...

They were still on the loose Sunday night. A stranger pummeled a 70-year-old Manhattan straphanger in the face so badly that he had to be hospitalized — all because the elderly man complained about him rolling a cigarette in the station, cops said Friday. The senior was getting off a southbound C train at the 145th Street station at the corner of St. Nicholas Avenue in Harlem around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday when he spotted the cigarette-roller in the station and confronted him, police said. It’s not clear whether the attacker actually got to smoke his cigarette, which is against transit rules, but the elderly man was apparently making...

On a recent weekday afternoon, the high-end flagship’s shoe department smelled less like Manolo Blahnik leather and more like a head shop, a stylist told The Post. “It’s jarring when you walk into a high-end department store where you used to smell Chanel perfume and now it’s weed,” the stylist, who requested anonymity, said. (The Post has reached out to Saks for comment). But, she admitted: “Everywhere you go in New York City smells like weed. It’s not just Saks — it’s at Bloomingdales, at the movies … there’s no high-end anymore.” Indeed, brazen New Yorkers are lighting joints on...

A Tennessee woman fatally shot a “scared” 4-year-old girl — then claimed to cops she was only trying to give the child a “gun safety lesson,” authorities say. The suspect had allegedly hit the tot with a sandal right before for failing to wake the woman up and eating food without permission. Breanna Runions, 25, was charged with murder and aggravated child abuse after allegedly pushing the loaded gun into little Evangaline Gunter’s chest and pulling the trigger at a home in Rockwood on Sunday, WBIR reported. Runions, who was not the child’s mother, initially tried claiming to officers that...
