In a stunning moment of clarity on CNN, the Cable News Network tried and failed Tuesday to convince eight Republican women that President Trump is racist, based on his recent tweets against four minority Democratic women in Congress. All of the women in the focus group in Dallas, Texas, previously voted for Trump, and ferociously rejected the network’s premise that the president is racist, proffered by CNN’s Randi Kaye on “Anderson Cooper 360°.” “I’m a brown-skinned woman. I am a legal immigrant. I agree with him,” said Trump supporter Sharon Bolan. Gina O’Briant said, “I’m glad that the president said...

Thursday marks 50 years since Ted Kennedy, the liberal Democrat from Massachusetts, drove off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island and left Mary Jo Kopechne to drown in the back seat. For decades, journalists and the TV networks downplayed the incident and portrayed the senator as the victim. Despite the circumstances, New York Times correspondent James Reston’s initial coverage in 1969 framed the story as a "Kennedy family" tragedy, rather than as a tragedy for the Kopechne family. As the Media Research Center's Brent Bozell and Tim Graham explained in a 2015 column: Reston’s first draft on Chappaquiddick began “Tragedy has...

WILKES-BARRE — With the 50th anniversary of her death coming up this week, relatives of Mary Jo Kopechne are making public a letter the Luzerne County native’s parents received from boxer Muhammad Ali shortly after her passing. In it, Ali urges the family to sue Sen. Ted Kennedy, who was driving the car that plunged off a bridge into a pond on the night of July 18, 1969, from which Kennedy escaped and Kopechne’s lifeless body was recovered the next morning. She was 28. The letter has been released to the Times Leader by William Nelson and his mother, Georgetta...

Transgenderism and the Failure of Atheism’s Best Philosophy By Tom Gilson Published on July 12, 2019 • Remember existentialism? It was all the rage in my youth. Since then? Nothing.  The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy marks its end in Woody Allen’s movies of the 1970s. It had its impact, though. In fact, it’s easy to trace a direct line from there to today’s transgender movement. And even though existentialism is now passé, we can learn something from what’s come of it — something about God, atheism and human nature.Jean-Paul Sartre’s Definition So let’s take a glimpse into Jean-Paul Sartre’s 1957 book, Existentialism and...

Leaky roofs. Outdated fire sprinkler systems. Aging patrol vehicles. No holding cells for detainees. And to top it off, a chronic manpower shortage. These are some of the many problems hamstringing U.S. border operations. That is, at the northern border — the international boundary between the United States and Canada. Congress last month finally passed emergency funding to deal with the humanitarian crisis at the southwestern border. However, a recent report from the Government Accountability Office reveals that it remains unclear whether legislators and bureaucrats will tackle the structural issues at America’s other border — or continue to postpone much-needed...

The California coast grew and prospered during a remarkable moment in history when the sea was at its tamest. But the mighty Pacific, unbeknownst to all, was nearing its final years of a calm but unusual cycle that had lulled dreaming settlers into a false sense of endless summer. Elsewhere, Miami has been drowning, Louisiana shrinking, North Carolina’s beaches disappearing like a time lapse with no ending. While other regions grappled with destructive waves and rising seas, the West Coast for decades was spared by a rare confluence of favorable winds and cooler water. This “sea level rise suppression,” as...

Crime is something long dismissed by the Left as an individual misfortune and victims, such as the surviving family members of those killed by illegal aliens, a matter of indifference. Out of sight, out of mind... But a new study from the United Nations finds that crime kills four times as many people as full-blown war. According to Deutsche Welle: Criminal activity is responsible for more deaths around the world than terror attacks and armed conflicts combined, according to a study published on Monday by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The sweeping study found that organized...

I recently received a letter from a Thomas Carpenter of Santa Monica, California. Suffice it to say the letter represented everything we would expect from his kind. It appears Carpenter was offended because I spoke the unambiguous truth in my syndicated op-ed titled: “Homosexuality is not normal; it’s deviant sexual lust.” Following is the chap’s jeremiad as it was received, unedited or changed in any way: “For someone who says he doesn’t hate homosexuals you really go out of your way to judge and condemn them. As a person raised in a religious background, I distinctly recall the part about...

A 17-year-old student has been suspended for three weeks for stating there are two genders to a teacher who insisted there are actually many genders “by law” and by “national school policy.” The U.K.’s Christian Institute said the unidentified teacher in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, told the student to “keep that opinion to your own house – not in this school.” The teacher, assigned to teach “Personal and Social Education,” scolded the student for discrimination. But the student argued he was merely stating there are two genders and “anything else is a personal identification.” DailyMail.com posted a video of the exchange made...

President Obama’s top official in charge of removing illegal aliens has confirmed that the “cages” used to detain juveniles who are in the country illegally were established by the Obama administration. “I’ve been to that facility, where they talk about cages. That facility was built under President Obama under (Homeland Security) Secretary Jeh Johnson,” said Thomas Homan, Obama’s executive associate director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “I was there … when it was built,” he said, reported Paul Bedard at the Washington Examiner. Democrats made the facilities an emotional political issue, widely distributing an image of a crying child “in...

Former Vice President Joe Biden campaigned Wednesday on a horrific photo of a migrant father and daughter who drowned in the Rio Grande river while trying to cross into the United States. “This image is gut-wrenching,” Biden wrote on Twitter. “The cruelty we’re seeing at our border is unconscionable.” Biden blamed their deaths on Trump administration border enforcement officials rather than the open border policies promulgated by Democrats. “History will judge how we respond to the Trump Administration’s treatment of immigrant families & children—we can’t be silent,” he wrote. “This isn’t who we are. This is not America.”

You cannot be "too clean", millennials are being told, as public health experts attempt to debunk myths around hygiene. The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) said incorrect theories which became popular in the 1990s were fuelling confusion and unhygienic habits among subsequent generations. And they called for lessons on cleanliness to be included in the national curriculum The warning comes after organisers of Glastonbury urged festival goers to opt for “strip washes” with a flannel and soap, instead of a shower, in order to help the environment. The “hygiene hypothesis” which became widely publicised in the 1990s argued that...

Employees of the Boston-based online furniture company Wayfair are set to walk out Wednesday in protest of the company’s decision to continue supplying furniture to migrant detention centers. Organizing under the newly formed group, Wayfair Walkout, workers are demanding the e-commerce furniture giant cease all current and future business with contractors operating detention centers and establish an ethics code that “empowers employees to act in accordance with Wayfair’s core values.” The group sent a letter to the company’s leadership last week, signed by 547 employees, calling for the end of operations that furnish detention centers. “We believe that the current...

This is proof, from the paragon of socialism, that liberals like to cite of Norway, Finland, and Denmark, as to why socialism will always fail in the end. Over there, men are quitting society because their aspirations are destroyed. The feminists will only allow men to be limited success, so they are putting their focus on themselves in other ways. Essentially, the men have gone fishing and the paragon countries are demographically dying. It is so serious, that the government is trying to conjole men back to engaging with society. However, the feminists will not move over enough to keep...
