Its been sometime since I posted a prepper thread as my life took a unexpected turn in 2016 my wife had a debilitating stroke and I became a full time care giver. we relocated in 2019 from New Mexico to Indiana to be close to family. She past in 2021 so I have had my hands full for a while. But things have turned so dark lately what with all the food processing plant fires and supply chain problems crime, unrest and very dark administration posing and threatening daily I thought I needed to once again call for readiness should...

Help me out, fellow Bibliophiles! I read a delightful rhyming book to my kids about a British man who takes a vacation to the beach he keeps losing things along the way. One of the lines is, "Oh, well, what's done is done. I think I'll picnic in the sun." Part of the charm of this book is finding the places where these items were forgotten. For example, the umbrella was left on the bus and we see it in the window as the bus pulls away. CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE NAME OF THAT WONDERFUL BOOK?

All that is left of Joe Biden’s never very bright mind is his viciousness. Biden’s speech after the Buffalo mass shooting was as obscene as his speech in the wake of the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas was last night. He was barely there; frail and blank, reading the teleprompter with no emotion until he got to blaming guns. Then he yelled with thoroughly phony anger at all Americans who revere the Second Amendment. It never occurs to leftists like Biden that had one or two or three of the staff at the market in Buffalo or the school in...

Just a thought on blue jeans. Out of curiosity, a guy went and bought some blue genes online. I have a challenge with box stores as they fail to carry my size. The Inseam is the most challenging, that would be a 29", not the tallest guy but can get it online in a couple days. Waist is a 31", again not found in my local stores. I want to shop local to support my businesses, 30 X 32"s was all that was available. It's all available online and in stock. The local businesses have no answer. Bought Levi's and...

It was early morning; I was standing in line to drop off laundry before heading to work. A man leaving the store stopped, looked at me, stared and said, “you are an intelligent woman.” I braced myself for what would follow -- and, follow it did. He started mildly enough, but quickly escalated into a January 6 diatribe, and his belief of an absolute intent on that day of Republicans to overthrow the American Government through revolution, which would culminate in the murder of Vice President Pence. Somewhat stunned, and instead of ignoring him which would have been the smart...

News reports are crackling with the breathless announcement that the Buffalo shooter, Payton Gendron, is also being charged as the perpetrator of a hate crime — in addition to ten counts of murder in the first degree. I could practically hear the buttons popping off the shirts of the nauseatingly self-important "officials" who made this call. Had Mr. Gendron merely wanted to steal the wallets from the victims of his shooting spree, would the crime be any less heinous? Emanating from this absurdity is the farcical nature of so much of the legislation that is promoted as problem-solving. The news...

Does science owe reparations to God? Consider: God gave science everything to investigate, to supposedly prove or disprove. God gave humans faith and belief and the chance at everlasting life. Yet many scientists have done all they can to supersede God, banish Him, and disprove His existence. And, in doing so, their clinical virtue signaling has robbed hope and meaning from the lives of countless millions, and, sadly, too often made a mockery of science itself. Someone once said, “They blinded me with science.” Those words ring especially true in this (almost?) post-pandemic time of hoaxes. God is the way,...
