in the past trade with Canada was something like 80/20 - 80% of Canada’s trade was with the US, 20% of the US’s trade was with Canada.
No doubt that’s changed, particularly given China, but even so, it’s not a good idea to have a trade war with such a huge neighbor, regardless of what one might think of Trump.
