Before this gets taken down, take a look.It is practically a parody of the liberal stereotype of the right-wing, anti-government, anti-police gun nut, right down to the picture of Sarah Palin and some anti-Semitic ramblings about the Rothschilds. This is the profile they so desperately wanted Jared Loughner and others to fit, and now they may have the real thing. They will make all the political hay they can with this, never mind that three Mounties died to help them make it.

A little spin around current events… Canada’s Gun Grab – you’d think with the heavy damage sustained to their public image over the High River fiasco the RCMP would avoid doing anything which could be construed as over-reach. Yet our national police force managed to reload their stupidity gun and shoot the other foot. In a literal overnight move, the nations top cop, RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson, arbitrarily decided the Swiss Arms Classic Green carbine firearm was to change classification from non-restricted (and restricted) to prohibited status. Under the umbrella of Bill 6-68 which became law under a Liberal government...

Uncle Sam could soon be coming after you on Canadian soil. According to an article in Embassy Magazine, the Harper government is moving forward on several initiatives that could give U.S. FBI and DEA agents the ability to pursue suspects across the land border and into Canada. But, according to a RCMP officer, they're doing it in "baby steps." "We recognized early that this approach would raise concerns about sovereignty, of privacy, and civil liberties of Canadians," RCMP Chief Superintendent Joe Oliver, the Mounties' director general for border integrity, told the Senate Committee on National Security and Defence on May...

With the firearms registry on death's door, the RCMP are using what little time remains to reclassify and seize certain scary-looking guns from Canadian firearms owners. Among the guns being seized is a small-calibre varmint rifle called the Armi Jager AP80. Like many non-restricted rifles, it is semi-automatic and fires the .22-calibre bullet, the smallest and weakest used in any long gun. The AP80 has been singled out because it looks too much like the infamous AK-47 assault rifle, although it shares no parts or technical similarities with that infamous battle rifle. On Dec. 20, the RCMP Canadian Firearms Program...

'Cannot stand' Corporal Catherine Galliford, a...

Several gun owners are refusing to surrender a semi-automatic rifle that was imported from China and bought legally before the RCMP retroactively declared it a prohibited weapon. The police force says that the imposing-looking Norinco Type 97A can easily be converted to a fully automatic weapon and must be prohibited on that basis. But 15 gun owners have refused to accept the $1,400 per firearm that Public Safety Minister Vic Toews has offered to anyone who voluntary relinquishes one of the rifles. The gun owners have gone to court in an effort to prevent their weapons from being confiscated. “These...

The search for the couple abruptly turned from Montana to Arkansas on Wednesday when a pair matching their description robbed a beauty salon in the town of Gentry. However, the owner of the salon was shown pictures of the fugitives and is certain they were not the couple who...

OTTAWA - In the midst of a mutiny that seeks to replace the only civilian ever to lead the RCMP, Canadians prefer the idea of a uniformed officer leading the force. Two weeks ago complaints from senior Mounties about current Commissioner William Elliott were made public. Elliott is the first civilian to lead the RCMP. Sources close to the top of the force described the complaints as part of a push to dump Elliott. If the push is successful, Canadians are telling the government, the next commissioner should already have a red serge uniform. Asked what kind of person should...
