    Jamie Newman, a staff member at Purdue University has resigned his position in the wake of threat allegations made by a student organization last week. The Blaze reported Monday: "Yeah, I just quit," Jamie Newman told the Lafayette Journal & Courier. "Tell the world." Purdue confirmed the resignation and said it was effective immediately.

    WILLIAMSPORT — A federal judge has told a Schuylkill County man to stop focusing on Sara Palin and "get everything under control." U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann Thursday warned Shawn Richard Christy, 23, of McAdoo, to stop the "nonsense" because he was headed down a bad path. The judge asked Christy's father, Craig Richard Christy, 51, also of McAdoo, to try to help get his son under control because his probation officer thinks he is ticking time bomb.
