HENNIKER — James Meredith yesterday challenged a “white supremacy” he said leaves Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice a second-class citizen, despite her prominent role. Meredith, the first black student at the University of Mississippi and an attorney and writer who lives in Oxford, Miss., spoke at New England College as a part of the school’s weeklong residency portion of a course in “pop culture and politics.”
