A psychologist who worked at a controversial NHS gender transition clinic for children feared they were performing ‘conversion therapy for gay kids’. A new book reveals how Dr Matt Bristow, who worked at the Tavistock Clinic’s Gender Identity Development Service (Gids) for five years, raised concerns that boys and girls who said they wanted to change sex might simply be gay.
