I have a prayer request. My granddaughter, artistically talented, super smart, homeschooled, is having vision issues in one eye. Her vision in that one eye has gotten progressively worse over the last year and a half or so, and last week had a scan and there are dark areas in the scan around her optic nerve. The doc said that he has never seen this before in someone as young as she is (15) and without an autoimmune disease or diabetes. Not diabetic. Ruled out an infectious disease for the time being. She will see a nuerologic opthamologist next week...

My step sister Jan was recently diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Over the weekend she was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and her condition has been deteriorating rapidly. At this point we are bracing for the worst. Your prayers are deeply appreciated.

Please pray for my son, who is working in the oilfields in North Dakota. He has been experiencing excruciating pain in his feet. The pain doctor calls it neuropathy, but there isn't much they have been able to do for it. He is blessed with a job where he can sit frequently, but it does require his walking around now and then.They have tried surgery, powerful painkillers, and even CBD. He is strong and optimistic, but it's breaking my heart. PRAY!

Please pray for my Daughter Brittany first she was pregnant and gave birth(successfully) then they discovered Gall Stones after a trip to the ER, anyway she had Gall Bladder Removal Surgery and subsequent Bile Duck Surgery(more stones) and now she is having problems with her throat where the breathing tube was. My wife just got a text saying the 12 week check revealed no heartbeat and she was in surgery to remove the dead baby...our hearts are broken for them but we also rejoice that they would never consider an abortion...please pray for them.

I am requesting Prayers from my FReeper Friends. I am 84 YO and experienced a 10 minute Verbal Lapse on Good Friday. Diagnosed as a 75 % blockage in Left Carotid Artery bifircation. Right at 30%. Physically Normal but Anxious! Surgery will be 1 PM May 23.

I just got a call from Windflier's wife, he has taken a downturn from a pre-existing problem and is pretty much bedridden and not eating. He has stage 4 Squamous cell carcinoma which I had to look up:Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common form of skin cancer. It's usually found on areas of the body damaged by UV rays from the sun or tanning beds. Sun-exposed skin includes the head, neck, chest, upper back, ears, lips, arms, legs, and hands. SCC is a fairly slow-growing skin cancer. I'm told he's in good spirits but is now "resistant"...

I have a potential job which I may find out if I am on the shortlist, perhaps by the end of next week. Although I get a pay cut, I really would like to get this job. I turns out that I have a bit of reprieve. I may be ok for the next 3 months. It may happen sooner but I didn't have to take anything right away. I interviewed with another startup but the pay and position were too low. 11 years ago I was in the same situation. I think the prayers from Freepers really helped! I have another lead...the pay is lower than now but a bit more stable.... Please...

My wife, Susan, has been having back pain; yesterday she got a steroid injection. Please pray with me that the injection suffices and more invasive measures aren't needed.

Many thanks to those on FR who responded to my prayer request from last week. As promised, here is an update. John has had serious heart issues for many years. He had a heart attack in his late 40s and has since had stents placed. Recently, he has experienced new chest pain. He underwent an elective heart cath last week which shows he needs a four way cardiac bypass. His surgery will be done either this weekend but no later than Monday. This means he has serious coronary artery disease but he is in one of the better medical centers...

A few weeks ago I asked you to pray for our friend and "sister" Catherine who had a heart attack. Your prayers made a great impression on Catherine and her family. Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement. Nevertheless, last night Catherine lost her fight for life and is in the arms of Jesus now.
