Sometimes I think my best move would be to move to an Appalachian town that has no internet. Then spend my remaining days calmly playing checkers at the general store.
You don’t understand the game. The Super-rich don’t pay a proportional amount of taxes, because they’ve take out their incomes from being taxed by putting the money into foundations and tax shelters and other means to avoid paying taxes.
Socialism is the true con, because it is paid for by people who can’t take their money out of the system like the super-rich can. The super-rich may belly ache about taxes to put on a good show, but they don’t pay taxes.

I think if the super-rich had a problem with either paying taxes or evading them, they wouldn’t be in New York in the first place. I also don’t think a 2% income tax on the few people who it would apply to would be enough money to implement a socialist paradise.
