Democrats, and “Establishment” are very reluctant to clean voter rolls. Entire blocks of inner city have been demolished, yet they have many registered voters. Houses and apartment buildings are burned out, vacant, have high turnover of transients, yet they have voters registered over 10 years ago. And of course, there is the dead.

Non-citizens are just a part of the problem. And since legal non-citizens are more likely to have drivers licenses than illegals, it is legal non-citizens who are in that mix of names used by vote harvesters.

One solution is to fix the drivers license software.

But the larger solution is for the voter registration list to be cleaned more frequently. The anti-cleansing voices are most concerned about the valid registrations of voters who have not voted in the past 4 years. They do exist. The voter list cleansing process needs to make a distinction between those who still live where registered and just don’t vote vs those registered who do not live there.

The cleansing process needs a special feature. Foreign missionaries, Peace Corps workers, diplomats, etc may be registed from an address that was valid when they were in the states, but is now a vacant lot, They still get to be registered and vote absentee as if in that vacant lot.
