Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is tromping potential Democrat gubernatorial challenger Beto O’Rourke (D) by double digits in a hypothetical matchup in the Lone Star State, a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found. The survey found Abbott leading failed presidential candidate O’Rourke 52 percent to 37 percent. Abbot has the overwhelming support of Republican voters–90 percent. According to the survey, independents support Abbott 47 to 37 percent.

Nearly half of Americans believe President Joe Biden’s actions have hurt the United States, while only 25 percent say his actions have improved the nation, a Wednesday Monmouth Poll revealed. In less than six months, Americans’ opinions have drastically soured on Biden’s performance amid inflation, the deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan, the supply chain crisis, and the border crisis.

The Wall Street Journal has released its first election poll of this cycle. Not only is it more extensive than some past surveys this year, but it delivered some very interesting results. For example, one question measured what issue Americans believe should be the top priority of a president. President Joe Biden only has a 36 percent approval rating, according to a new Trafalgar Group poll released Wednesday. The poll showed that 52 percent of Americans strongly disapproved of Biden while 6.9 percent merely disapproved of his job performance.

Despite President Biden campaigning on uniting the US, most voters believe he is at least somewhat responsible for divisions among Americans, according to a recent poll. The Trafalgar Group survey, conducted before Thanksgiving with the Convention of States Action, showed that 54.2 percent of likely general election voters thought Biden was “very responsible” or “somewhat responsible” for divisions among the American people. By contrast, 45.8 percent said Biden was “not very responsible” or “not responsible at all.” Inevitably, a far larger percentage of Republicans (88 percent) blamed Biden for political strife than Democrats (21.3 percent).

Fifty percent (50%) of voters say that until the US has the ability to produce the required batteries, we should slow down the transition to electric vehicles. That's according to the latest Scott Rasmussen national survey, which also found that 16% of Americans believe the US should never transition to electric vehicles. Only 26% of voters believe the U.S. should transition to electric vehicles as quickly as possible. China is the world’s largest producer of batteries needed for electric vehicles, and 66% of US voters are worried that the US may become dependent upon China for these batteries. President Joe Biden has said he will run for a second term in 2024 at age 81, but a poll shows that if he does not only 13 percent would support Vice President Kamala Harris. Former first lady Michelle Obama came in as the No. 2 pick at 10 percent. However, neither woman got a majority of support from respondents, with 36 percent saying they were “unsure” who they would support, and 13 percent said they would choose someone who was not on the list.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) is leading former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) by 6 points in the Lone Star State’s gubernatorial race, according to a new poll, days after O’Rourke officially launched his bid for office in his home state. The poll, conducted by the Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler, found that in a head-to-head matchup between the two candidates, 45 percent of registered voters said they support Abbott, while 39 percent said they are backing O’Rourke. Sixteen percent of respondents said they would vote for a different candidate for governor.

A new poll found that most white women without a college degree think that President Joe Biden didn't "legitimately" win the 2020 election over Donald Trump. The Economist/YouGov poll, which was conducted between November 14 and November 16, asked respondents whether Biden "legitimately won the election, or not?" Of the 1,500 Americans surveyed for that study, 51 percent of white women who don't have college degrees said that Biden didn't legitimately defeat Trump in 2020, while 29 percent of white women with college degrees shared the same response.

President Biden’s approval is tanking among black voters, an Emerson College survey released this week found. The survey showed Biden’s overall disapproval increasing yet again in the last two months, going from 47 percent in September to 50 percent in November. Overall, that is an 11-point increase in overall disapproval since February. Meanwhile, in that same timeframe, his approval has dropped from 49 percent to 41 percent from February to November.

Both Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) are seeing lagging approval among their constituents as over half of registered Wisconsin voters in a new poll signal they would vote for someone other than either incumbent. A Marquette Law School Poll published on Wednesday found that 53 percent of registered Wisconsin voters would vote for someone else besides Evers while 40 percent said they’d vote to reelect him. About six percent said they did not know or declined to say.

The latest poll from I&I/TIPP released Monday revealed that overall, only 42.3 percent of the respondents believe President Joe Biden is “mentally sharp,” while over half (50.5 percent) believe he is not “mentally sharp.” Only a small percentage (seven percent) were “not sure” where they stood on the president’s sharpness. However, there is a sharp division between the political parties.
