The Los Angeles Police Department said it is investigating after an officer fatally shot a suspect who was reportedly armed with a pole saw Monday morning. Police responded a call about a man armed with what was believed to be a metal pipe at approximately 9:54 a.m. in the area of Gillette and Bridge Street in Boyle Heights.
