Hiroshima University researchers have found that fermented stevia extract may fight pancreatic cancer without harming healthy cells—potentially making it more than just a zero-calorie sugar substitute.art samuel/ShutterstockPancreatic cancer shows significant resistance to existing treatments like surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.“Globally, the incidence and mortality rates of pancreatic cancer continue to rise, with a five-year survival rate of less than 10 percent,” study coauthor Narandalai Danshiitsoodol, associate professor at Hiroshima University, said in a press statement. There’s a growing need to find new, effective cancer-fighting compounds—especially those that come from medicinal plants, said Danshiitsoodol.Fermentation Unlocks Cancer-Fighting PowerThe study, recently published in the International...

President Trump has just ORDERED all federal agencies to DELETE employees’ COVID-19 vaccination statuses They also must delete any records of vaccine non-compliance and exemptions FINALLY! NOBODY should be discriminated against for refusing the vax! .... never forget the amount of evil that took place during Covid ... It turned neighbors and family members against each other. . ... Crimes against humanity ... Never forget. ... US Employers must do the same. And any Employer who enforced the mandate must pay all vaccine injury related medical bills of past and present employees they forced to get a jab

Researchers at Hiroshima University have found that stevia, when fermented with specific bacteria from banana leaves, gains a remarkable ability to kill pancreatic cancer cells while leaving healthy kidney cells unharmed. This transformation enhances the plant’s natural properties through microbial biotransformation, creating a potent compound called chlorogenic acid methyl ester (CAME). The fermented stevia extract showed significant cancer-fighting potential in lab tests and may represent a new direction in probiotic-based cancer therapies. Stevia’s Surprising Anti-Cancer Potential Stevia might offer more than just a no-calorie alternative to sugar. Scientists at Hiroshima University found that when stevia extract is fermented using bacteria...

COVID vaccines cause myocarditis, which is debilitating and deadly. The Israelis told Team Biden in February 2021. Team Biden kept a lid on that. So now we learn not only that Joe Biden has Stage Five prostate cancer, but that starting in February 2021, the POC/LGBTQ committee that was operating Biden like a Muppet concealed, then downplayed the risk of heart disease from the COVID vaccines. It’s funny how we find out all this dirt, within 48 hours after the committee’s announcement about Joe’s cancer. Because he’s got a few months to live, he’s now officially the “Fall Guy.” Everything...

There’s a terrifying trend happening right now—and most of the so-called “experts” who have let us down in every way imaginable are pretending not to see it. So, what’s happening? Well, cancer is exploding. And not just in adults. Children—actually very young children—are now being diagnosed with these extremely aggressive, fast-moving cancers at a rate that’s impossible to ignore. But instead of asking hard questions, the same crowd of “experts” that once shouted down anyone who dared question the COVID vaccine has gone radio silent. Suddenly, they’ve lost all curiosity. Suddenly, they don’t want to “follow the science.” ... The...

Results from a randomized, phase 2 clinical trial show that adding high-dose, intravenous (IV) vitamin C to chemotherapy doubles the overall survival of patients with late-stage metastatic pancreatic cancer from eight months to 16 months. "The results were so strong in showing the benefit of this therapy for patient survival that we were able to stop the trial early." In the study, 34 patients with stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer were randomized to receive either standard chemotherapy (gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel), or chemotherapy plus infusions of high-dose vitamin C. The results showed that average overall survival was 16 months for the...

Melissa Gilbert witnessed her TV dad, Michael Landon, fight a debilitating disease that ultimately took his life. At age 54, the actor who played patriarch Charles Ingalls in "Little House on the Prairie" was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He died three months after publicly announcing his diagnosis in 1991. "It is really a brutal and pernicious disease," Gilbert told People magazine. "To me, it felt like a tornado. You have no warning. It’s just there and the survival rate is virtually nil."

Patients with pancreatic cancer who received chemotherapy both before and after surgery experienced longer survival rates than would be expected from surgery followed by chemotherapy, according to a new study. The study included patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which accounts for 90% of pancreatic cancers. An aggressive cancer with a high mortality rate, PDAC is predicted to become the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. by 2030. The findings are encouraging for the 15 to 20% of pancreatic cancer patients whose tumors are operable. The single-arm (only one treatment type or regimen) Phase II trial evaluated...

  • 5 things to know about pancreatic cancer

"It's not a particularly common cancer," says Mark Truty, M.D., a surgical oncologist at Mayo Clinic. "The lifetime risk of pancreatic cancer for any given patient without any predisposing risk is only 1 to 3%." According to the National Cancer Institute, pancreatic cancer accounts for 3.2% of all new cancer cases, but it causes nearly 8% of all cancer deaths. And the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is just 10.8%. Here are five things everyone should know about this deadly cancer: Pancreatic cancer is aggressive and causes nonspecific symptoms.

I have 2 neighbors within a half mile, a good friend and two inlaws who have/ had pc in past 2 years 4 have passed. Odd to know of so many. That doesn't count my work acquaintances. I am not interested in talking about the vaxxes. Just in the incidence of pc. We are far enough flung that it might be interesting. Your experience? Anyone else?

Liver cancer is one of the most frequent cancers in the world, and with the worst prognosis...The most aggressive and frequent form of liver cancer is hepato-cellular carcinoma (HCC); little is known about it and there are relatively few treatment options. Researchers from the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), have produced the first mouse model that faithfully reproduces the steps of human HCC development, from the appearance of the first lesions in the liver to the development of metastasis. The results, published in the prestigious journal Cancer Cell, indicate that diets rich in nicotinamide riboside, a derivative of vitamin...
  • Study directly links high insulin levels to pancreatic cancer

    11/02/2023 8:11:37 PM PDT · by ConservativeMind · 7 replies
A study reveals a direct link between high insulin levels, common among patients with obesity and type 2 diabetes, and pancreatic cancer. The study provides the first detailed explanation of why people with obesity and type 2 diabetes are at an increased risk of pancreatic cancer. The research demonstrates that excessive insulin levels overstimulate pancreatic acinar cells, which produce digestive juices. This overstimulation leads to inflammation that converts these cells into precancerous cells. "Alongside the rapid increase in both obesity and type 2 diabetes, we're seeing an alarming rise in pancreatic cancer rates," said Dr. James Johnson. "These findings help...

Patients with pancreatic cancer who took the benzodiazepine lorazepam (Ativan), commonly prescribed to treat anxiety during cancer treatment, had a shorter progression-free survival than patients who did not, according to results published. In contrast, patients who took the benzodiazepine alprazolam (Xanax) had a significantly longer progression-free survival than patients who did not. The researchers examined the relationship between benzodiazepine use and survival in patients with pancreatic cancer. When adjusted, any benzodiazepine use was associated with a 30% lower risk of pancreatic cancer-related death. However, when Feigin and colleagues studied the relationship between individual benzodiazepines and pancreatic cancer outcomes, they found...
  • Study finds high blood glucose levels sensitizes pancreatic cancer cells to chemotherapy

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most difficult cancers to treat, being highly resistant to chemotherapy. However, there are no effective alternative therapies to chemotherapy, so chemo remains the best available treatment. Researchers report that a hyperglycemic state—that is, one where the blood glucose level is raised—made pancreatic cancer more sensitive to chemotherapy in a mouse model. (Pancreatic cancer is more formally known as Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma and shortened as PDAC). Results were replicated in cell culture and a cohort of patients with metastatic PDAC. These findings present a potentially new method of making chemotherapy more effective against pancreatic cancer,...

  • New insights into how blood pressure drug may benefit patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer (Losartan)

    02/16/2023 7:30:21 PM PST · by ConservativeMind · 2 replies
Pancreatic cancer is highly lethal, and surgical removal of tumor tissue is currently the only potential cure for most patients. Once the cancer has spread beyond the pancreas, treatment options are limited. A recent phase II clinical trial identified a promising combination treatment regimen for patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer, meaning that their cancer had spread, but only to nearby tissue. The trial's investigators have now uncovered the potential mechanisms behind the treatment's beneficial effects. The combination therapy—losartan+FFX+CRT—includes the blood pressure drug losartan plus a chemotherapy cocktail called FOLFIRINOX (folinic acid, fluorouracil, irinotecan, and oxaliplatin), followed by chemoradiation. The...
