“In Pennsylvania, the people should decide what path is best for them, not have it decided by some arbitrary requirement or any arbitrary limitation,” Shapiro said during the executive order signing ceremony last week. What Shapiro did is a great idea, and any states that have not already done this should follow suit. Regardless of whether a politician is a Democrat or a Republican, they should care about the credentialism plaguing our workforce. Arbitrary degree requirements are an expensive barrier to entry that disproportionately affect the working class. In a country where people carry nearly $2 trillion in student loan...

HARRISBURG — When Republican state legislator Jim Gregory nominated his Democratic friend and colleague Mark Rozzi to be speaker of the Pennsylvania House this month, the move stunned close political observers and seemed to offer new hope for bipartisanship. As with the nation, politics in this critical swing state, the country’s fifth-most populous, have become bitterly divided in recent years along ideological, geographical and racial lines. Donald Trump won the state in 2016, and Joe Biden took it back in 2020. False claims over the legitimacy of the 2020 contest became prominent Pennsylvania GOP rallying cries in 2022 and reinforced...

Official documents from the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Local Authorities which was obtained by the the "The Forum for the Struggle for Every Dunam" reveal a construction plan for dozens of lots on the area of the ancient Altar of Joshua on Mount Ebal. According to the plan, dozens of permanent homes will be built on most of the altar wall, and will practically connect the outskirts of the city of Nablus and the Askar refugee camp to Mount Ebal. According to the plan, the altar itself will remain a public park, which will be surrounded by Arab houses that...

he day ended up surprising everyone when state Rep. Jim Gregory (R) of Blair County nominated state Rep. Mark Rozzi (D) of Berks County to be the speaker. The move was seconded by another Republican, Tim O’Neal of Washington County, who said, “We need an independent voice and an independent mind." State House Majority Leader Joanna McClinton (D) agreed to support him, and within short order, Rozzi was elected speaker of the Pennsylvania state House. Rozzi then proceeded to flip from Democrat to independent in his acceptance speech. “I am sure a lot of you didn’t see this coming today,”...

Philadelphia police are searching for a black female suspect who viciously assaulted a University of Pennsylvania student in Center City. The “violent and unprovoked assault” left a 23-year-old female student with a broken nose and fears that she can no longer attend classes safely. Philadelphia’s continuing crime crisis has increasingly affected university students in recent weeks, prompting fears that the city’s numerous colleges could see a drop in enrollment if the issues are left unaddressed. “She turned toward me and started running toward me. (She) swung on me and broke my glasses and my nose,” the student, who wished to...

Let me explain. Here are charts graphing each of Pennsylvania’s daily Democratic Mail-In Ballot Applications and Returns for the 2022 Midterm. You can see all 67 counties here. (2/32) PA Mail In Ballot County Charts.pdf https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N9JygwKFPFCDrCTvPExmsukG_Anbp-68/view?usp=share_li This is what a Democratic Mail-In Ballot Application and Return cycle looks like for a typical Pennsylvania county. Almost every county, including Philadelphia and Allegheny, looks like this. Nearly 2/3’s of all Democratic Mail-In Ballot Applications happen in the Spring. That’s because counties are statutorily required to mail the prior year’s Mail-In Ballot Applicants if they wish to re-enroll for the current year. (4/32)...

The estimated sales price of about $126,000 is "very preliminary," Handzo said, and will be adjusted when construction is complete. The five three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath homes will be ready for occupancy with 18 to 24 months, he estimated. Each will have about 1,900 square feet of space and a one-car garage. To qualify, a single person would have to make about $50,000 or less, while a family of four could have an income somewhere in the $70,000 range, Handzo said. "For the first 20 years, you can sell for up to 90% of the appraised value," Handzo said. After 20...

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia’s Democratic district attorney had harsh words for the Pennsylvania Legislature in his first public statement since the vote last week to impeach him. Lawmakers and community activists joined Larry Krasner on Monday as he called the vote a product of the “MAGA wing” of the Republican Party and said the movement to reform the criminal justice system will not be silenced. “Once again, they're trying to tell you all what you think,” he said. “Well, the people know what they think.”

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has voted to impeach Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner over “misbehavior in office in the nature of dereliction of duty and refusal to enforce the law.”House Resolution 240 lays out dozens of complaints about the Soros-supported DA, including, “exhibiting unethical conduct by lacking candor to the courts” and “committing professional misconduct in violation of rule of professional conduct and engaging in impropriety and appearances of impropriety.”The resolution also accuses Krasner of ignoring the plight of the crime victims he is sworn to represent, and contributing to the sharp rise in crime through negligence and even...

Pennsylvania election observers filed a complaint against the Delaware County Board of Elections after county officials took a detour on election night with the county’s ballots and v-drives into a closed building for six hours. Poll watchers were prevented from entering the building at the time. The county also deleted 194 voter registrations that were deleted after election day whose ballots were counted. That is the definition of voter fraud. It’s too bad we no longer have a DOJ or law enforcement who will investigate actions like this. They’re too busy plotting against Trump supporters. The balance of political power in Pennsylvania has taken a left turn as the Republican-controlled state House lost at least 12 Republican seats in the Nov. 8 election and could lose more. Control of the chamber will remain undecided until at least next week because results in two races are too close to call. Democrat Mark Moffa, with 15,095 votes, has two votes more than Republican Joe Hogan’s 15,093 in District 142, Bucks County. Neither candidate is an incumbent; this is a new district due to redistricting. Those totals are not expected to change for days, Jim O’Malley, deputy director...

The head of the Kedumim local council, Hananel Dorani, has expressed his sorrow at the passing of Shalom Sofer Hy"d who passed away following severe injuries sustained in a terrorist attack two weeks ago. "Shalom was a kind and generous man, an ish chessed," Dorani said. "He will be sorely missed for the righteousness and pleasantness of his ways. "The new government must now cancel all the statements and actions made by the outgoing government that led terrorists to believe that they could succeed, and it must also bring a halt to all thought of making concessions to the Palestinian...

John Fetterman was on with Don Lemon on Tuesday morning and yes, he was using the close captioning system for the interview. But that didn’t solve the problems for him. Don Lemon has been switched to the CNN morning show after being demoted by CEO Chris Licht from his show in the evening. Fetterman was a big test for him because normally he would be spewing all kinds of Democratic-supporting vitriol in such an interview. But now he appeared to be making an attempt to ask real questions of Fetterman on some of the important questions. Lemon pushed on the...

5 ATVs surround a SUV while driving trying to open the passenger's door. Seems like a pretty bold move for a 450lb ATV vs a 4,000 - 5,000lb vehicle. I wonder what is considered legal for the driver to do when being surrounded by ATV's attempting to open their passenger door and block them?

Church leaders on Saturday condemned an attack on the Orthodox church in Beit Sahur, near Bethlehem, and called on the Palestinian Authority to bring the assailants to trial. During the attack, which took place on Friday night, dozens of Muslim men hurled stones at the church, injuring a number of people. The church is affiliated with the Jerusalem Patriarchate and managed by the congregation in Beit Sahur. In a statement, the church leaders said the attack came after a “quarrel between some young men.” “We condemn this attack and demand that the Palestinian Authority bring the attackers to trial as...
