Does anyone know why Glenn Beck has been replaced by Bill Oreilly at 2am (eastern time) ? Is Glenn Beck only on once a day now?

The "con" comes in because if businesses exceed the limit on carbon emissions, they have to buy "carbon offsets" as a penalty. The cap and trade deals would be made on the Chicago Climate Exchange, which is in President Obama's hometown, and which Goldman Sachs has a 10% stake in. Listening to tonight's O'Reilly Report. He has as guests in one segment, Gretchen Carlson and some other woman. They were discussing why Sarah Palin left the governor's office. The women mentioned that she was picked on unmercifully (true) and that she couldn't reply to all the attacks (true) and they they were precipitated by her gender, and her good looks. O'Reilly asked why Pelousi hadn't been similarly attacked as she was a nice looking woman also. I come close to hurling. Tonight when Oreilly was dicussing the attacks on Sarah Palin. He asked why no one was attacking Nancy Pelosi and that "She is a good looking woman." Really Bill? I believe most of America would disagree. Video of the comment Here

O'Reilly talks about Obama's impending meeting with the Pope tomorrow, and mentions Obama's statement last year during the campaign that the question of when life begins is "above his pay grade." O'Reilly wonders at what the Pope might have to say to Obama on that score. He also cites examples of how Obama and his administration are overtly distancing themselves from the Judeo-Christian values that O'Reilly believes indisputably are the foundation principles that have shaped our nation. . . . ....

With Americans busy celebrating the 233rd birthday of the USA this week, freedom of speech comes to mind. We Americans are big on speaking freely, but the words we use are quite another matter. In fact, we are becoming a nation of braying sheep, using the same words and phrases over and over again. Benjamin Franklin, a wordsmith if there ever was one, would have some issues with that. "Issues." That is a drastically overused word that is being used to avoid the proper word: "problems." He has "issues" sounds a lot better than "the guy is dramatically screwed up."...

He grilled Bill Burton on no tax increase pledge Obama made. Told Alan Colmes that Obama was a hypocrite for considering taxing health benefits after he trashed McCain in the campaign on this issue. He made fun of energy bill requiring green retro fitting of houses prior to sale. He mocked Obama's comparison of Congress to Abe Lincoln. He's making O'Reilly look like a wuss.

Juan Williams, filling in for Bill O'Reilly, was doing a great job mincing Bill Burton, Obama's Deputy Press Secretary. Juan didn't let him get away with the "no new taxes" pledge that Obama may violate, called him out on increased taxes, called him out on Obama requiring homeowners to bring their homes up to energy standards before a home sale, and made Burton tread water on other issues. For being a Liberal, Juan sounded more like O'Reilly tonight - at least in that segment. Catch the video when one is on the Internet.

Just curious...with the 4th of July on a saturday evening, how long of a weekend do you think our fearless leaders of the conservative media, will take for vacation? My bet is, O'Reilly will take off the 3rd and the 6th as well as the weekend, and Rush will take off the 3rd, and not come back until mid week of the next week! Ah, All our valiant leaders! They disagreed, but were civil. They talked over each other, but both made their points. Tonight's Bill O'Reilly, Rep. Barney Frank face-off was, actually, meaningful. That is if you care about issues including the defense of marriage act, spending cuts and banking regulation. And no one stormed off. At the end of the first segment, O'Reilly even said, "We have some common ground. We're making a lot of progress here congressman. Pretty soon we'll be going camping together."

This guy is such a loser and sissy.

Tonight on the O'Reilly Factor, Bill O'Reilly laughed at the assumption by CBS reporter, Harry Smith, that former President Bush has been "treacherous" when criticizing President Obama. In the same breath, however, he made sure not extend that same courtesy to former Vice President Cheney. He claimed he "wasn't sure" whether the could be said about the Vice President.
