Kids are better off offline anyway—and that’s the parents’ job to assure.

They’ll start with porn, then gradually tack on other things. It’s what they always do. Incremental tyranny.

They already include any site having to do with firearms.

Porn can make you gay.

It can also turn you into a pedophile.

Children have limits on many activities. I see no reason why in addition to smoking, drinking, tattoos, and even spray paint, kids shouldn’t be restricted from accessing porn.

I don’t see this as a big issue. At least not if you believe in states rights.

Anything else they want to tack on will have to have majorities in the state legislature and the governor to agree to.

No, you’re wrong.

Porn is in a unique category. Nothing else is anything like it.

Re: 2 - really?

From the NBC News article:

“As a result of that ruling, some online pornography platforms, including Pornhub, prevented people in Texas”

How do they determinel if someone is accessing the site from Texas? Especially if a person is using a VPN?

This is just the first step to requiring ID to access the Internet. Incremental tyranny. It’s how they do it. Once they have the ID infrastructure set up, the rest is easy.

Are the dissenters the usual suspects? The article doesn’t say. Who wrote the dissent, and if the dissenters are the usual suspects, the dissent is better off without pictures.
