When 73-year old Gayle Meyer was being held against her will at the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington on January 29th the call went out for people to show up at the hospital in her support. Dozens did and then police showed up in riot gear by the dozens as well. Meyer was then released by the hospital but afterwards the Clark County Sheriff's Department claimed that they faced a heavily armed group that was threatening. Oregon bureaucrats are proposing making the state’s mask mandate and social distancing requirements permanent. Democrat state senators in Oregon have introduced legislation to pay black Oregonians $123,000 in reparations. The bill would have the Department of Revenue establish a reparations payment program to residents “who can demonstrate heritage in slavery” and have identified as “African-American” for at least ten years.
