Oregon bureaucrats are proposing making the state’s mask mandate and social distancing requirements permanent.
In their proposal, the state’s health bureaucrats admit that while the mandates were adopted “to address the COVID-19 pandemic,” they want to keep them beyond the May 4 expiration date.
“Although the rule must be adopted as a permanent rule, its purpose is to address the COVID-19 pandemic,” the proposal reads. “Oregon intends to repeal the rule when it is no longer necessary to address the pandemic.”
Notice that the proposal doesn’t outline how officials will determine when mandates are “no longer necessary,” hence the permanency.
Meanwhile, in the UK, bureaucrats are suggesting that mask mandates and social distancing requirements will be in place “for years.”
“Ramsay told the BBC on Sunday that masks and social distancing could be required for ‘several years,’ or ‘at least until other parts of the world are as well vaccinated as we are, and the numbers have come down everywhere,'” reported RT.
Keep in mind that, a year ago, the public was initially told to wear the masks for a few weeks to keep hospital beds from being overwhelmed, which certainly isn’t happening now.
They will use “science” to determine when the threat is over...

Oregon has had a full year to train people and build facilities to deal with this disease.
The people of Oregon should be outraged that they are being crushed under the heel of government which is both out of control and incompetent.

Someone needs to answer this question. I am using boolean logic to assess my chances of getting COVID as well as others getting it.
If you received the vaccine, you should be immune to COVID and no longer have to wear a mask. So for human interaction I see this.
P = Person
P1-Covid Vaccine - P2-Covide vaccine = no covid
P1-no covid vaccine - P2 covid vaccine = no covid
P2-no covid vaccine - P1 covid vaccine = no covid
P1-no covid vaccine - P2-no covid vaccine = covid
If you haven’t had the vaccine, and since it is your body your choice, you can either wear a mask or not, since anyone with the vaccine is immune.
Then why must everyone still wear a mask?
Never.
Why doesn’t Canada just adopt Oregon and Washington and be done with it!

Non-elected Oregon bureaucrats?
Here's what Oregon and other states can do with their elected and non-elected troublemakers.
State constitutions need to be amended to put time limits on lockdowns and on the mandatory wearing of masks.
State constitutions also need to be amended to make state health and environmental protection officials elected by popular vote.
Constitutionally time-limited lockdowns and limited mask requirements need to automatically trigger special recall elections for governors, mayors and disaster officials who order lockdowns and mask wearing, also state lawmakers.
Finally, constitutions need to require people planning to run for state and local offices to escrow a refundable "recall deposit" before becoming a candidate, the deposit fully paying in advance for their possible recall elections if they are elected, amounts determined by law.

Articles like this make me glad I live in bright-red South Carolina.
Okay, so it is effed up by a few big cities. Still an effed up state if the whole state is under the mask mandate. I have no doubt all states will become like Oregon. All the major cities, even in red states are blue.
Because we doh’t want to hurt the little fweelings of the unvaccinated.
