Enough Is Enough: Time to Finally Follow the Science on Masks
American Thinker.com ^ | March 1, 2021 | Ted Noel, MD

Recently I was "fact checked" by PolitiFact for a demo I did showing that masks don't stop the spread of aerosols (longer one here, shorter one here). The reporter asked for my comments and then said what his narrative required, without regard for any scientific data. The list of CDC and Medscape information in the video description escaped his attention. He also completely ignored the fact that Anthony Fauci has flip-flopped on masks more than a fresh-caught fish on deck.

Scientists have been very busy. When the Wuhan Flu came to America, we were told to constantly bathe our hands in sanitizer. Now we know that very few cases are spread by contact, so constant hand-washing isn't necessary. That leaves droplets and aerosols. Unfortunately, many studies use arbitrary size criteria to distinguish between them, giving us confusing answers. A better distinction is that droplets are too heavy to stay suspended in the air, so they follow a spitball's trajectory to the floor. Aerosols can stay suspended for hours, much like cigarette smoke.

Masks work really well against spitballs — oops, droplets. These larger particles hit and stick. They don't get through. So if you cough or sneeze, your mask, handkerchief, or elbow will do a great job of protecting your neighbor. But what about aerosols? You emit them every time you breathe, and if your neighbor sniffs after you break wind, you emitted an aerosol there, too. (Incidentally, COVID-19 is present in sewage in high concentrations.) We have enough data to show that these smaller, airborne particles are the real culprit in COVID-19 spread. How good are masks against aerosols?

We've all run into that irritating person who screams that "you're going to kill someone!" if you take your mask off. Supposedly, my mask will protect that person from me.

Most masks have the same effect on virus that a chain link fence has on a sandstorm.

The created a vaccine for COVID before they willfully admitted that it was spread primarily through the air.

Masks are not worthless. They’re very effective at virtue signaling.

I’m waiting to trip over something in a super market because I can’t see from my mask fogging up my eyeglasses. Then I’ll sue the store and every entity which forced them to demand I wear a Fauci face diaper. This could be my road to riches.

You’re right. Besides virtue signaling, they demonstrate who the sheeple are when they wear their training burkas outdoors or when alone.

Just the fact that the glasses fog up demonstrates that mask do not stop aerosols and are useless against this virus.

There is the one that gets me. If the mask is so good at protecting people, why should anyone wearing a mask care if I have one on, or not? If masks work so well, they are protected from my virus loaded emissions, right? So, we are left with one of two possibilities. First, the mask-holes know that masks don't work and their cognitive dissonance causes them to lash out at people not wearing one. Second, mask-holes are just control freak Karen's who have nothing better to do than involve themselves in other people's business.

Don’t worry about the science - just follow Saint Anthony Fauci. according to Chris Cuomo, Saint Fauci has saved more lives than any other doctor in world history.

I like walking into a Walmart store with a disposable mask on and then take it off right as I greet the greeter.

In some other more strict stores, I walk around with it below my chin...nobody’s ever said a word to me as long as a mask is visible.

Most stores, I don’t wear one at all.

One woman at a liquor store was clearly perturbed I wasn’t wearing a mask as she pulled her mask down and leaned over the counter and got in my face to ask that I not approach the counter while another customer was still there. I laughed in her face, she immediately pulled her mask back up and checked me out.

Maybe Fauci should recommend that everybody wears two pair of underpants.

Create a word document and copy this a couple of dozen times on it:

I have a medical condition called CS which makes wearing a mask hazardous to my health. My doctor gave me this explanation to share with anyone that questions my condition:
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/02/enough_is_enough_time_to_finally_follow_the_science_on_masks.html

Maka a bunch of copies and cut out each occurence and carry in your pocket. When someone complains that you are not wearing a mask, hand them one of these.

Some will actually co home and read it and consider it conspiracy nonsense, but some will be enlightened. Meanwhile, the store has to consider the legal ramifications of forcing you to wear a mask. And HIPAA prevents you from having to go into the details.

BTW, I have no doctor so I AM my doctor. And “hazardous to my health” refers to my mental health. And CS stands for “Common Sense.”

It would be fun to “accidentally” wipe out a display and say, “sorry, my glasses fogged up from the mask.

I just got glasses at costco. As I was being fitted, he kept telling me to cover my nose and, finally, I pulled the mask off and put it in my pocket. I told him I’m getting fitted for glasses and the mask makes it impossible. He started to complain and kinda shrugged, and continued.

If wearing a mask was as simple as wearing a yellow star of David, that would be one thing, but when it physically interferes with what you are trying to do, that is something entirely different.

Hey, thanks for the idea, but they would just blame me for not wearing the mask “properly,” meaning severe breathing constriction.

Many merchants in Texas are as tired of this nonsense as thinking customers are, but are constrained by state and local edicts to at least go through the motions. I’ve noticed employees, including managers going without or at least wearing them Below their breathing holes.

IMHO if you can sell a fart thru the mask it does not stop COVID.
