Inmates in an Oklahoma City jail took a guard hostage, beating and stabbing him several times before one of the suspects was shot dead, graphic video shows. Harrowing footage of the March 27 hostage situation at the Oklahoma County Detention Center shows inmate Curtis Montrell Williams, 34, being gunned down while holding a makeshift knife to the neck of detention officer Daniel Misquez. Misquez, who was bound and held captive for about an hour, is seen in surveillance footage being hit on the head and stabbed several times in the leg by a second inmate.

OKLAHOMA COUNTY - Work is set to begin next week on a controversial, new turnpike that will carve a path through eastern Oklahoma County. OKLAHOMA CITY--The 1600 square foot home on S.E. 15th came crashing down in a matter of minutes. It was demolished on Monday to make way for the new Eastern Oklahoma County turnpike. “It happened because they were ignorant of their rights and were victimized by the state,” said Steve Maguire. Maguire helped start Victims of Eminent Domain Fund, a non-profit dedicated to telling the stories of homeowners in that part of the county and stopping the turnpike from coming through.
