Occupy Seattle protesters are planning a Silent Flash March in downtown Seattle on Monday. The march to mark the one-year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Westlake Park. Organizers are asking participants to bring a dollar bill to be taped over their mouths. "Right now, with every dollar we spend, we give corporations more and more influence over our politics, over our healthcare, our government, our society, and our future. With every dollar we give them more and more influence over our daily lives," says the message demonstrators plan to hand out at the march....

SEATTLE - A very unique wedding in Seattle on Sunday afternoon as people came to witness the union of a woman - and a building. In order to save a building from demolition, a Babylonia Aivaz “married” it. Aivaz said "I do" to the warehouse on 10th and Union on Capitol Hill. She said she fell in love with the 107-year-old building during an Occupy Seattle protest and doesn't want to see it torn down to make room for a brand-new apartment building. "I hope that America wakes up and realizes that gentrification is a serous issue that affects poor...

"I did apologize to Dorli because nobody likes to see this happen to someone who speaks for the protest line." Pictures of Seattle's pepper spraying police - and Rainey - hit YouTube. The mayor demands a complete review of police actions. "We've asked police to review it, take...

Via SeattleTimes: The 150 Occupy Seattle tents in Westlake Park were taken down by 7:30 Monday morning as Seattle police and Seattle parks employees moved in to clear what the city has long said was illegal camping on city property. Police also arrested nine people. All the tents were down within a half-hour, according to Assistant Police Chief Mike Sanford. The protesters were told to take the tents down. If they didn’t take them down themselves, police or parks employees took them down for them, according to Sanford. Read more and watch Raw Video Clips at post link > http://bit.ly/nKG6Ys
