With violent pro-Hamas protests erupting on our nation’s campuses, millions of illegal aliens swarming across the southern border, and a mentally declining president who seems like he can barely get through a sentence—much less run the most powerful nation on earth—it can seem like all the news is bad these days. The tale of Derek Floyd, the FDNY firefighter who died of a heart attack after being fired because New York City needed money for illegal aliens, leaving his family with nothing because he was just short of becoming eligible for benefits, certainly fits into the “tragic” category. RedState’s Nick...

NEW YORK, NY — After being viciously booed at an FDNY promotion ceremony last week, New York AG Letitia James has announced she will be issuing $355 million-dollar fines to the perpetrators. "Last week, I was cruelly assaulted and insurrected by racist Trump supporters," said the Attorney General in a statement. "Our democracy is no place for firefighters to express their displeasure with the weaponization of the justice system against their preferred candidate. I will not rest until every guilty party has been tracked down and brought to justice. With a $355 million-dollar fine. And maybe also prison. Thank you."...

FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh has been given a not-so-nice name after she said officials would try to identify firefighters that erupted in jeers on Thursday at New York Attorney General Letitia James, who previously vowed to take down former President Donald Trump. The Daily Mail reported Saturday that Kavanagh has been labeled a “fascist pit bull” for planning to go after the first responders.

New York’s partisan Attorney General Letitia James was loudly booed at a ceremony for the New York Fire Department on Thursday. While speaking at the event, James is heard praising FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, right before a large number of individuals in the audience begin shouting former President Trump’s name. When James began her lecture, several in the audience booed, leading her to reply, “Come on, we’re in a house of God…simmer down.” NY Firefighters Loudly Boo Letitia James FDNY Chief of Department John Hodgens said in a statement, “Today’s ceremony was about one thing: the accomplishments of the members...

FDNY boss hunts down staffers who booed NY AG Letitia James, cheered for Trump at promotion ceremony FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh is hunting down smoke-eaters and other staffers who mercilessly booed New York Attorney General Letitia James – and cheered in support of Donald Trump – during a department promotion ceremony this week, The Post has learned. FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the chorus of boos and chants of “Trump” that James received at Thursday’s event....

Members of the New York Fire Department (FDNY) who are fed-up with Trump-hating fascist attorney general Letitia James during a recent promotion ceremony are now facing severe consequences. The Gateway Pundit first reported the incident wherein a wave of boos and chants supporting President Trump overshadowed the event. A large group of firefighters made their stance perfectly clear during Thursday’s New York Fire Department (FDNY) promotion ceremony regarding James’s inquisition of President Trump. After honoring FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, James’s speech was effectively drowned out by LOUD pro-Trump chants in the crowd. She struggles a bit to find her words...

Mayor Eric Adams admitted that he helped the Turkish consulate get approval to open two years ago despite fire concerns — saying it was simply what politicians do. His comments came as he was grilled by the media Tuesday about details of a federal probe into his campaign, that reportedly focuses on illegal foreign donations from Turkey. “This is what we do every day,” Hizzoner told a packed room of reporters in City Hall Tuesday. “When the constituency reaches out to us for assistance to another agency … you reach out to an agency and ask them to look into...

by Ron Kersten Two Ohio high school football players were suspended from the team after they ran onto the field on 9-11 with thin blue line and thin red line flags in support of the anniversary. The thin blue line flag represents support for police officers and the thin red line flag represents support for fire fighters. For the record:** 50 police officers were killed in New York in the 9-11 attacks.** 343 fire fighters were lost in the attacks. The boys were honoring 9-11 victims and their fathers who work as a police officer and a fire fighter. One player, Brady Williams, whose...

The House Judiciary Committee unanimously passed a bill which would permanently reauthorize the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund Wednesday, the day after comedian Jon Stewart gave impassioned testimony in support of the bill in video that quickly went viral. The bill will now go to the floor for a full vote in the House of Representatives, where it is likely to pass. It's unclear whether Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will take up the bill in the Senate, although Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York said Wednesday that he was "imploring, pleading, even begging" McConnell to bring the bill...

Boycott I’m actually a little surprised by this, if only because it seems in recent years major league sports have been pretty intimidated by the forces of political correctness. Which is to say: They know who will scream and boycott if they don’t give them what they want, and all large, high-profile institutions want to avoid the bad publicity that comes with such things. Oscar Lopez Rivera is a terrorist responsible for more than 100 bombings, but that’s old news. The new news is that Barack Obama commuted his sentence on his way out the door, which makes Rivera a...

He once fought fires in Hell’s Kitchen. Now he’ll be fighting the fires of hell. After two decades of beating down blazes and saving lives, retired FDNY Captain Tom Colucci has found a higher calling — he’s about to become a Catholic priest for the New York Archdiocese. Timothy Cardinal Dolan will welcome Colucci, 60, to the priesthood on Saturday during a special ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. “I spent 20 years saving people. Now I will save souls,” said Colucci, the first city firefighter to shed his bunker coat for a priest’s collar. “I thought about being a priest...

A female firefighter who has repeatedly failed the fitness test is being given an unprecedented seventh try. Wendy Tapia, 34, was allowed to conditionally graduate from the FDNY's Randall's Island training academy in May 2013 - despite failing the required running test, New York Post reports. Typically firefighters who fail the exam at the end of academy training don't graduate and are forced to re-take the entire course in the next academy class. But Tapia, blaming a foot injury for her failure, was allowed to take it again not once, but five more times over the next six months.

Scores of retired New York City police officers, firefighters and prison guards were charged Tuesday with faking psychiatric problems to get federal disability benefits—with some falsely claiming their conditions arose after the Sept. 11 attacks, prosecutors said. Four ringleaders coached the former workers on how to falsely describe symptoms of depression and other mental health problems that allowed them to get payouts high as $500,000, said Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. The ringleaders made tens of thousands in dollars in secret kickbacks, Vance said. Among the retirees arrested were 72 city police officers, eight firefighters, five corrections officers...

Culture of FDNY groupies rages out of control as 'badge bunny' obsession turns scary By SUSAN EDELMAN and CANDICE M. GIOVE Last Updated: 8:47 AM, June 9, 2013 Posted: 12:00 AM, June 9, 2013 She was hot for the FDNY. Christine Cuocolo, 34, started out as a typical firefighter “buff,” one of legions of groupies to the hunky heroes. But her desire to get close to the smoke eaters spiraled into a “Fatal Attraction”-like nightmare. Cuocolo, a Midtown IRS employee, created several social-media identities, including FDNY Chicky, batcavesfiregirl 26 — a reference to the Engine Co. 26 nickname, Bat Cave...

Mary and I flew from Florida to Alexandria, Minnesota where I was the keynote speaker and entertainer (singer) at their “Rally for America”. As we approach another anniversary of the 9/11attacks, I caught segments of various 9/11 documentaries on TV in the hotel room. I was struck by numerous stories of bravery and selfless acts of courage by our fellow Americans. A twenty-four-year-old man led a group of fellow employees to safety. He went back into one of the Twin Towers to rescue more, never to be seen again. A survivor spoke of the look in the eyes of a...

(CNN) -- A U.S. district judge ordered New York City to pay $128 million in to firefighters who allege the city used an entrance exam that deliberately sought to keep African-Americans and Latino Americans off the force. The judge also ordered the FDNY to hire 293 black and Latino applicants. "It has been in the city's power to prevent or remedy the need for damages proceedings for a decade, and it has not done so," U.S. District Judge Nicholas G. Garufis said in his ruling on the class action lawsuit. He called it the "consequences of the city's decision to...

Bush read a letter from President Abraham Lincoln (who) wrote to a widow who lost sons in the Civil War: Mary Altaffer/The Associated Press (hat tip Boq) The picture says it all. When President Bush spoke at the official ceremonies of the tenth anniversary of the 911 attacks, he was met with applause and warmth from the families. When Obama spoke, there was silence (just as with Mayor Bloomberg). The animus was palpable. UPDATE: Wait, there's more to turn...
