  • Excellent 30 sec Romeny ad: "He's Right" (Obama for one term)

I'm no mittens fan, but have to give his campaign credit for putting good ads together. This one simply nails Obama - inviting people to judge him after being in office three years. The ad would be useful to whomever wins the GOP nomination, in my opinion.
  • (RINO) Romney draws early fire from conservatives over views on climate change

It seemed like a straightforward question on a second-tier issue: Would Mitt Romney disavow the science behind global warming? The putative Republican presidential front-runner, eager to prove his conservative bona fides, could easily have said what he knew many in his party’s base wanted to hear. Instead, the former Massachusetts governor stuck to the position he has held for many years — that he believes the world is getting warmer and that humans are contributing to it. Romney’s answer to a question about climate change last Friday during his first town hall meeting since announcing his second presidential campaign allowed...

Sarah Palin confronted our dishonest far left president on his constant lies about Medicare last night on Hannity. “The truth is that President Obama is lying. He’s not just misstating. He’s not just misconstruing some facts or some data. No, he’s lying when he says that those with Down Syndrome, that those with autism, those that need that safety net will be left on their own if the Republicans have their way. That is not true.”[SNIP]
  • Haley Barbour: 'Purity' will lose 2012 race

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour issued a stern warning to conservatives Friday: relent on ideological purity in the primaries or risk losing the general election. "We're going to nominate someone for president who doesn't agree with you on everything and who you don’t agree with on everything," Barbour said. "But I'll tell you what. You're going to agree with them a whole lot more than you agree with Barack Obama."

Support for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign has virtually evaporated, dropping to just 3 percent among likely Republican primary voters, a new IBOPE Zogby poll reveals. That’s down from 7 percent in a May 6-9 poll, meaning Gingrich has lost more than half his support in the new poll conducted May 20-23. Asked to choose from among 13 possible GOP presidential candidates in 2012, poll respondents chose eight Republicans ahead of Gingrich, including several who, unlike Newt, have not announced their candidacy: Herman Cain (19 percent), Chris Christie (16 percent), Mitt Romney (11 percent), Ron Paul (9 percent),...
  • Liz Cheney calls for Steele to step down [Steele's comments "deeply disappointing and wrong."]

Liz Cheney, daughter of the former vice president, chairman of Keep America Safe, and an increasingly prominent voice in national security politics, has released a statement calling for Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele to resign: RNC Chairman Michael Steele’s comments about the war in Afghanistan were deeply disappointing and wrong. The chairman of the Republican party must be unwavering in his support for American victory in the war on terror — a victory that cannot be accomplished if we do not prevail in Afghanistan. I endorse fully Bill Kristol’s letter to Chairman Steele. It is time for Chairman Steele...

Mitt Romney is wading into the GOP governor's primary in Michigan, and he's backing Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.). Hoekstra faces state Attorney General Mike Cox and businessman Rick Snyder in a pitched primary battle. Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D) is term-limited, and Democrats are waging their own primary battle.
