AFL-CIO Attorney: "It is legally impossible to conduct a nationwide raffle"We recently sent a complaint to the Federal Election Commission with regard to the "Dinner with Barack" fundraising promotions of 2007 and 2008. The Center for Competitive Politics quoted AFSCME (part of AFL-CIO) associate general counsel Jessica Robinson on the use of raffles to raise money for political campaigns.
