The New York Times discovered this week that few people around the country seemed to pay much attention to the the House passing articles of impeachment Wednesday making President Donald Trump only the third president in history to be impeached.“It was a momentous day in American history. But, by all indications, it was not a momentous day in the lives of most Americans,” the Times declared. “As history played out Wednesday amid the bombast and rancor of impeachment proceedings, many of them seemed intent on looking elsewhere.”The Times reported on people across the country who remained focused on their day-to-day...

Sen. Cory Booker said Wednesday that Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s testimony was “offensive” and accused her of lying under oath. “She pretended like she didn’t remember. She couldn’t remember what the president of the United States, the commander-in-chief, her boss, was saying. She didn’t remember Lindsey Graham, who challenged the president on his vile words. Yesterday, it was so offensive to me she lied under oath,” Mr. Booker, New Jersey Democrat, said on CBS News.

Palin Hunts a Momma Grizzly Sarah Palin has accused Senator Murkowski of becoming "part of the big government problem in Washington." By JOHN FUNDAllies of Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski are looking over their shoulders before Tuesday's GOP primary. Internal polls taken for her campaign show Fairbanks attorney Joe Miller closing the gap. A new RT Nielson poll also has Ms. Murkowski's lead down to 47% to 35%. If accurate, it shows Ms. Murkowski below the level of support where an incumbent can be considered safe. Ms. Murkowski has outspent her rival by almost 20 to 1, but she has yet...

"Raleigh — During a candlelight vigil for an unborn baby that died last month when his mother was murdered, scores of people were expected to call Monday for a state law to make killing a pregnant woman a double murder. Nielsen, 22, of Fuquay-Varina, was killed as she refilled USA Today newspaper boxes. Her body was found behind a Lake Wheeler Road convenience store. She was eight months pregnant with her third son. That boy, who was...

Viewers Flee ABC News and CBS News Did CBS really think it would benefit from letting Dan Rather be a useful idiot for Saddam Hussein? Does ABC really think Americans want to watch its foreign, blatantly anti-American anchorman Peter Jennings? Too bad for them that the people are voting with their feet, their wallets and their remote controls. In an astonishing break from the past, viewership of these networks' evening news shows has actually declined during this wartime. Only NBC, which has a cable operation and has long been the least offensive of the former "Big Three" networks, registered a...
