Despite fewer juicy deals, Black Friday shoppers dutifully opened their wallets, and for the first time ever, online sales fell as crowds returned to stores. Holiday-hungry consumers spent $8.9 billion online Friday, according to Adobe Analytics. That was a slight drop from $9 billion last year.

On Thursday, Czech President Miloš Zeman left the Central Military Hospital but came back just a few hours later after testing positive for coronavirus. The president had reportedly met with an infected employee of the Office of the President of the Czech Republic. Presidential spokesman Jiří Ovčáček said that Zeman was tested for COVID-19 on Thursday afternoon and got back a positive result. “Therefore, in cooperation with the attending physician, Dr. Miroslav Zavoral, it was decided to transport the patient back to the Central Military Hospital in Prague,” added Ovčáček. According to Zavoral, the president received monoclonal antibodies as treatment....

NEW YORK (AP) — Chris Christie is everywhere. The former New Jersey governor and onetime Republican presidential candidate denounced “conspiracy theorists” during a September appearance at the Ronald Reagan Library in California. He followed up with a speech this month to influential Republicans in Las Vegas, warning that the party will only succeed if it offers a “plan for tomorrow, not a grievance about yesterday.”

We all know that history is not the left’s favorite subject. Many times, it’s just too inconvenient for their political narratives. Often, history has to be erased or submerged in order to achieve the “greater good” of creating a just and moral society. In truth, it’s not much better on the right, although generally, the conservative take on American history is more nuanced. Christopher Columbus was an ass — a greedy, cruel, ambitious man who didn’t let anyone stand in his way to achieving riches and power, especially native people. But he was courageous enough to cross an unknown ocean...

With natural exposure immunity and early outpatient treatment and when combined with no reports of increased lethality, the WHO’s reaction of generating panic toward “Omicron” is causing needless fear and panic. So too with the Biden administration’s newly imposed travel restrictions, which will achieve nothing and will once again disrupt trade and violate human rights. The WHO has said that the Omicron variant can spread more quickly than other variants. Likely true. The virus is behaving just like how viruses behave. They are mutable and mutate and via Muller’s ratchet, we expect this to be milder and milder mutations and...

Disgraced Gov. Cuomo’s one-time top aide took a none-too-subtle swipe at his successor Friday evening over her handling of the coronavirus. “Time to shift with the times — ribbon cuttings and photo ops drinking beers in UES bars maskless won’t get this job done,” Melissa DeRosa, the former secretary to the governor said in a tweet that was later deleted.

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Velshi,” Rep. Troy Carter (D-LA) argued that if the races in the Ahmaud Arbery case were reversed, “there wouldn’t have even been media about it. There would have been a conviction in the media and a conviction in the court and it probably would not have had the level of deliberation.”

Watch your step, now. Look out for flying debris. The “Kamikaze Democrats” are here. This handy little description was coined by The Wall Street Journal editorial board Tuesday to describe Democratic lawmakers who must now face the daunting reality of the multitrillion dollar tax, climate and entitlement spending bill, which passed in the U.S. House five days ago. “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi marched her majority off a cliff in 2010 with votes on ObamaCare, and now she has done it again,” said the detailed editorial. “The 81-year-old Mrs. Pelosi is almost certainly retiring after this Congress, and this vote is...

Vice President Kamala Harris and former first lady Michelle Obama are leading contenders for the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential nomination if President Joe Biden chooses not to run again, according to a new poll. A Hill-HarrisX poll conducted from November 18 to 19 showed Harris and Obama ahead of other possible candidates, including Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has reintroduced mandatory masks for shops and public transport in response to the discovery of a new COVID-19 variant, despite the requirements only being lifted in July. On Wednesday, a new strain of coronavirus — B.1.1.529, dubbed ‘Omicron’ — was identified in southern Africa, prompting the United Kingdom on Friday to impose travel restrictions on those coming from several southern African countries and requiring arrivals to quarantine in hotels for ten days.

They're all violent, religious right extremists, out to secede. The proof is that Aryan Nation used to headquarter around there, and they're religious extremists because they're religious.

China has invested more than £685billion across 42 Commonwealth member states since 2005 as the Communist Party's extraordinary bid for global power continues unimpeded. Foreign policy hawks have accused Britain of being 'completely asleep at the wheel for decades' as China expands its influence in the Caribbean and targets 'weak' Commonwealth states across the planet. By ploughing huge sums of money into poor countries such as Barbados and Jamaica, Beijing hopes to saddle them with such enormous unpayable debts that they are forced to hand over the assets used as security. In some cases, this has included ports in crucial...

Alarms were today raised after one in ten passengers coming into the Netherlands from South Africa this morning tested positive for Covid and a wave of suspected cases of the new super-mutant variant were spotted in Europe. Around 600 passengers arrived on two planes in Schipol Airport, near Amsterdam, from Johannesburg — the epicentre for the new strain that experts fear is 40 per cent more vaccine evasive than Delta — hours after travel bans were put in place. Some 61 of those on the planes tested positive for the virus on PCR tests after they were stopped at the...

In dominant elite discourse, no evidence is needed to brand someone a "white supremacist." The belief that it will produce political or personal gain suffices.Within hours of the August 25, 2020, shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin — not days, but hours — it was decreed as unquestioned fact in mainstream political and media circles that the shooter, Kyle Rittenhouse, was a "white supremacist.” Over the next fifteen months, up to and including his acquittal by a jury of his peers on all charges, this label was applied to him more times than one can count by corporate media outlets as though...

States with statewide mask mandates in place are reporting higher coronavirus cases per capita than Florida, a target of the establishment media throughout the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. Illinois is just one of a handful of states that has a mask mandate in place. Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) reinstituted the mandate in late August, which requires all Illinois residents older than two to wear a mask in indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status. However, that has not seemed to stop the virus from spreading.

A logo is pictured on the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, November 22, 2017. The World Health Organization dubbed the next coronavirus variant rising in South Africa as Omicron. The emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 has international health experts worried, financial markets roiled and the Internet confused over how the new name was chosen. The World Health Organization appeared to skip two letters in the Greek alphabet when it announced Friday the name for the latest coronavirus variant, which was first identified in South Africa. Nu and Xi were apparently the next letters in the...

The new omicron variant of the coronavirus could already be in the United States, Dr. Anthony Fauci says. “I would not be surprised if it is,” the White House’s chief medical adviser told NBC’s Weekend Today.

Florida's Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis may be vindicated for his refusal to impose pandemic lockdowns, as well as vaccine and mask mandates, after the Sunshine State posted the lowest number of new COVID-19 cases and deaths per capita in the nation. On Friday, the Sunshine State reported 1,393 new cases of COVID-19, roughly six cases per every 100,000 residents. The state also reported just one death in the past week. By contrast, Michigan leads the nation in daily coronavirus cases per capita - with a 7-day rolling average of 560 per 100,000 residents - despite Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer imposing...
