Trump Gets a Big Break in Georgia Criminal Case, Undercuts Democrat Election Plan

Democrats are still celebrating the conviction of Donald Trump in New York, but the rest of their plan to subvert the 2024 election has just hit a major snag. On Monday, the appeals court handling his case in Georgia set oral arguments for October 4th. That was welcome news for the former president because it means the trial will almost certainly not start before voters go to the polls.

The appeal centers on whether Fulton County DA Fani Willis should be disqualified following a series of ethics complaints. That includes the revelation that she paid taxpayer money to Nathan Wade, a man she was having an affair with, to join the prosecution. The two took lavish vacations together, paid for by Wade. There are also allegations that Willis overpaid him.

[snip]

Make no mistake, the Democrat plan was to have all four criminal cases against Trump finished before the election, preferably with guilty verdicts in all of them. Not only does that look virtually impossible at this point, but it seems incredibly unlikely that any of the three remaining cases will go to trial before the votes are tallied

With oral arguments on October 4th, there is no chance of a conviction of Trump in the Georgia case prior to the November election. The Florida documents case in on the skids as well. I believe SCOTUS will rule (although possibly narrowly) that Trump has Presidential immunity in the case currently before them which will stifle the other DOJ case.

So, all they have is a conviction in NY which they know will eventually be overturned. Meanwhile the conviction in that case is the reason for bringing even GOP never-Trumpers back to voting for the former President.

I believe Democrats have made a terrible mistake in their attempt to convince voters not to vote for Trump with the excuse he is a "convicted felon".

So now they have to cheat and cheat very BIGLY in order to win and hold onto their power. But, people will be watching. And many of those watching as new Trump supporters, may be the same people who helped them cheat in the past. What will the left do if they can find poll workers in small "blue" precincts to do their dirty work for them?

Yeah, the NYC conviction turned out to be a massive fundraiser for DJT.

why doesn’t the Republican Governor of Georgia just preemptively pardon Trump?

I guess that he must be found guilty before a pardon.

If I were a poll worker in a blue area and were being asked to help cheat for Biden, etc?
I woul think twice if I worried that my family, friends, and everyone I knew or associated with would have terrible things happen to them because I helped cheating.
I would hesitate and not cheat. Cheating. Terrible things. Coincidences.

They don’t control all the levers of power in GA as they do in NY.

I doubt the operation is that crude and crass. It is much more sophisticated.

This is Gov Kemp’s last term. I suspect he has been promised something for his work in turning Georgia “blue” over the past few years.

Nixon was pardoned before he was even charged.

Kemp and Raffensberger are the enemy. Kemp thinks he’s going to be the next president and he’s jealous. They are both criminals in my opinion.

This is the link to Former Commissioner of the Federal Elections Commission, Brad Smith’s reasons why the trial was totally wrong. It was Judge Juan Merchan who prevented Trump’s defense team from seating Smith as a witness or even submitting his testimony to the jury:

‘why doesn’t the Republican Governor of Georgia just preemptively pardon Trump?”

Because that could be seen as Trump being guilty. Bad optics.

“why doesn’t the Republican Governor of Georgia just preemptively pardon Trump?”

Because the Governor of GA isn’t really a Republican. He’s been a sleeper for the RATs for decades. Besides, he’d have to return the filthy lucre he received for queering the 2020 election.
