Down Syndrome Babies—Here to Teach Us Tenderness We snuff out their tiny, prophetic voices at our own peril. They are possibly the last barrier against a society-wide breakdown into generalized violence. FULL POTENTIAL: Emory University’s Down Syndrome Center — Showing what a child with an extra chromosome can do Fr. Mitch Pacwa, speaking to Presentation Parish “On Redemptive Sufferingâ€, remarked that “Down Syndrome babies are here to teach us tendernessâ€. Societies that protect the most innocent are moving towards greater compassion. But young people in America today know that they may have brothers and sisters who were killed before they were...

The Chicago professor examined the law's incentives for the poor not to get a job or work harder, and this week Beltway budgeteers agreed. Mr. Mulligan studies how government choices influence the incentives and rewards for work—and many more people may recognize the University of Chicago professor as a serious economist after this week. That's because, more than anyone, Mr. Mulligan is responsible for the still-raging furor over the Congressional Budget Office's conclusion that ObamaCare will, in fact, harm growth and jobs. But then the CBO ... reported that by 2024 the equivalent of 2.5 million Americans who were otherwise...

In addition, and most importantly, George W. Bush was a conviction president on foreign policy matters, driven by a clear sense of the national interest. President Bush emphatically made his case to the American people and to the world, explaining why he believed the use of force was necessary, and dozens of countries decided to follow him. In the case of Barack Obama, whose foreign policy has been weak-kneed, confused and strategically incoherent, the president hasn’t effectively made the case for military intervention in Syria, and has made no serious effort to cultivate support both at home and abroad. President...

A doctor charged Saturday with possessing a large quantity of chemicals used in bomb-making spent 15 years on the staff of a Manhattan hospital until he was fired in 2006 for refusing to submit to a psychiatric evaluation when a nurse accused him of stalking her, court records show. Rivera was being held...

At a golf course in Brisbane, players have an added incentive to hit shots clear of the water – a lake full of stranded sharks. A group of eight- to 10-foot-long bull sharks have been a feature of Carbrook Golf Club golf course since it was flooded by water from a nearby river. When the flood waters drained away, players noticed that some new aquatic residents had moved into lake near the 14th green. Although the sharks mainly eat pond fish, warning signs have been posted around the lake to deter members from going in to retrieve lost balls.

In golf, they call it a mulligan. A do-over. There's no formal name for what President Obama and Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. did last night. After flubbing his one role on Inauguration Day -- administering the oath of office to Obama -- Roberts traveled to the White House to re-administer the oath. Just to make sure. "We decided it was so much fun . . .," Obama joked while sitting on a couch in the Map Room. Obama stood and walked over to make small talk with pool reporters as Roberts donned his black robe. "Are you ready...

Once wasn't enough for The One. After Justice John Roberts butchered delivering the oath to President Barack Hussein Obama yesterday...he had to do it again...today...in the White House. Apparently several constitutional scholars, law abiding and deriding citizens that they are, advised the president he'd potentially suffer a legal challenge (from whom, Biden?) if he didn't do it right.

Green-Eyed and an Utter-Failure, Impeached Ex-Ersatz Prez Wants A Presidential Mulligan"Clinton talked the talk and did diddly squat, whereas Bush doesn't talk, but does deliver." by Mia T Kennedy Country (May 28, 2003 ) - Utter-failure impeached ex-ersatz president bill clinton angled for an Oval-Office mulligan during his reciprocal intern-exploitation-purgation attempt at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum here. In a move that surprised even his most servile toady -- clinton is not one ever to let the rule of law stand in his way -- the utter-failure impeached ex-ersatz president this time looked...

DANA POINT – Former President Bill Clinton was caught in a number of bad lies Friday, but what did you expect? Orange County has always been a Republican stronghold. Besides, he was playing golf.

Good thing the Secret Service agents were there to watch his back, as Clinton hacked it around in the pro-am portion of the Hyundai Team Matches at The Golf Links at Monarch Beach, along with PGA Tour star Fred Couples, his playing partner for the day.
