SYRACUSE, NY--The MONY Group, a financial services company with about 750 employees in downtown Syracuse, will be sold for $1.5 billion to AXA Financial, the U.S. subsidiary of French finance company AXA Group, the companies said Wednesday. It's too soon to say how the sale will affect Syracuse employees, because the deal is not expected to close until the first quarter of next year, said E.P.
