NEW YORK (WIVB) - Republican gubernatorial candidate Marc Molinaro says his campaign headquarters was vandalized on Thursday night. "Stop this now @NYGovCuomo. We demand civility," he wrote on Twitter. It's not clear who did this, but Molinaro referred to them as "radical leftists who smashed windows, spray painted our door, glued our locks, and left a threatening note behind." The building is located on E. 83rd St. in Manhattan -- the home of The Metropolitan Republican Club.

ALBANY — As the race for governor accelerates, Republican nominee Marc Molinaro says the campaign of Democratic Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is trying falsely to define him as an ultraconservative out of step with most New Yorkers on social issues. “If they think that diminishing and demeaning people is the way to win an election, God bless them,” Molinaro said in an interview. The Cuomo campaign routinely refers to Molinaro as “Trump mini-me . . . who has an ‘A’ rating from the NRA and is the NY GOP’s hand-picked anti-woman, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ candidate.”

The governor's race is getting a bit more crowded. Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, a Republican, kicked-off his campaign for the statehouse Monday. He attacked Gov. Andrew Cuomo, arguing that the Democrat is devoted to his own self-preservation and presidential ambitions at the expense of the state. Molinaro also said that all New Yorkers are paying a price for the state's corrupt government.

At a press conference this morning on Staten Island, a host of local officials, including Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, gathered to highlight the needs of the hard-hit borough in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. And, although many pols spoke, no one was more impassioned than Borough President James Molinaro, who called the Red Cross an “absolute disgrace” and even urged the public to cease giving them contributions. .....
